My Christening

May 19, 2018

Today I am sharing another page using the photos from my Mum and Dad which hopefully is preserving some memories for my children and grandchildren, as well as being a great trip down memory lane for me.  These photos are from Christening day.  The one on the left shows my Dad, who is holding me and his mother and grandmother – four generations in the one photo, kind of neat I think.  The one on the right shows my Mum’s sister and her husband who were my Godparents.  I used the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper across the 12″ x 12″ Whisper White page.  I punched a strip of Powder Pink card using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and attached it to Basic Black card.  A4 card is slightly short of 12″, so I cut it and left a gap in the middle when I attached it to the Designer Series Paper.  I cut the decorative piece from Basic Black card using the Petals and More Thinlits Dies and attached it behind the photo on the left.  The two photos are attached to Powder Pink card and then attached over the Designer Series Paper.  I attached one of the Petal Passion Memories and More cards to Basic Black card and attached it to the lower left hand corner of the page.  I cut “Happy Birthday” from Basic Black card using the Birthday Thinlits Die and cut the pieces apart to create Happy Day for my title.  I cut the flower die from Basic Black card using the Petals and More Thinlits Dies and attached it to the top right hand corner.  This time my journalling is hand written.  I read somewhere that you should use your handwriting to preserve it for future generations (not sure mine is worth preserving but..).

I do hope you are enjoying my Memory Keeping and that you are being inspired to put your photos into pages or pockets (as the case may be) to share with your family and friends.

Bye for now,

Kris
