Freshly Made 369

January 7, 2019

The card sketch at Freshly Made this week gave me an opportunity to cut into the Happiness Blooms Designer Series paper.  Sometimes, although I love really patterned paper, I get a little lost as to how to use it.  So for this card, I attached a piece of the Happiness Blooms Designer Series paper to Night of Navy card and then Whisper White card.  The whole panel is attached to scored and folded Night of Navy card.  I attached a piece of Night of Navy card across the card front and also a piece of the Whisper White 5/8″ Flax Ribbon.  I stamped “happy belated birthday from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set onto Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink and punched out the greeting using the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch I attached the greeting to a 1-3/4″ circle punched from Call Me Clover card.  Then just to dress it up a little I used the Bitty Blooms Punch pack to create a flower.  The flower is punched from Lovely Lipstick card with a Pineapple Punch card centre.  The leaves are punched from Call Me Clover card.  The punches co-ordinate with the Bloom by Bloom stamp set and can be purchased as a bundle to save you 10%.

To decorate the inside of the card, I attached a piece of Night of Navy card behind one long edge of the same Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper.  The panel is attached across the bottom of Whisper White card.

I think I am going to like this layout for showing off my Designer Series Paper.  What do you think?

Bye for now,

Kris
