Inside Concertina Card

September 26, 2019

Today’s fancy fold is called an Inside Concertina Card and my instructions came from a tutorial I purchased from the fabulous Elizabeth Shannon.  Her tutorials are all easy to follow and she has a video link for each one.  A fabulous resource and one that my customers are loving to share.  I stamped the flower stem from the Daisy Lane stamp set onto Whisper White card using Pretty Peacock ink.  I stamped the large single leaf over the top using the same ink but stamping off once first.  I stamped the flowers from the Daisy Lane stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card and cut them out.  I attached two of the flowers flat to the Whisper White card and one using dimensionals. I stamped “happy mother’s day” from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card and punched it out using the Classic Label Punch.  I punched one end of the label using the Triple Banner Punch and attached it to a piece of Seaside Spray card also punched using the Triple Banner Punch.  The greeting is attached to the top left hand corner of the stamped Whisper White card.  I attached the stamped panel to Seaside Spray card. I cut my card base from Thick Whisper White card and attached a length of Seaside Spray Scalloped Ribbon Trim around it before attaching the stamped panel to the base.

I cut the concertina panel from Seaside Spray card and scored it according to Elizabeth’s instructions.  I embossed the left hand panel using the Layering Leaves 3D Embossing Folder.  I attached narrow strips of Seaside Spray 2019-2021 In-Colour Designer Series Paper to the front of the concertina panels.  I also attached a piece of Whisper White card to the right hand panel of the card so that I would have somewhere to write a message. The panel is attached to the inside of the card using adhesive on the outside panels only.  I stamped the flower from the Daisy Lane stamp set onto Whisper White card using Rococo Rose ink and cut them out using a circle from the Layering Circles Dies.  I attached the flowers to a scalloped circle cut from Rococo Rose card using the same dies.  One flower panel is attached to each of the concertina panels on the inside of the card.  Make sure that you only add adhesive behind half of the flower panels or you will glue your card shut permanently.

I am pretty happy with this fancy fold and cannot wait until my “big” order from the new Holiday Catalogue arrives, to start playing with this design.

Bye for now,

Kris
