Today’s card was inspired by the sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps.  I have been struggling with beginning to use the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and the sketch gave me an opportunity to use some of the images.  I began by embossing Whisper White card using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  I embossed a piece of Shaded Spruce card using one of the Greenery Embossing Folders and attached it to the embossed Whisper White card.  The whole panel is attached to scored and folded Shaded Spruce card.  I cut a piece of the Flowers For Every Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper using one of the squares from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I attached the Designer Series Paper square to the card front.  I stamped the sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set onto Shimmery White card using Saddle Brown Stazon ink.  I used an Aqua Painter with Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Shaded Spruce ink to colour the image.  I cut out the image using a larger square from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I attached the image to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the greeting from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card using Shaded Spruce ink.  I cut out the greeting and attached it to the card front.

To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped another greeting from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set onto Whisper White card using Shaded Spruce ink.  I embossed a narrow strip of Shaded Spruce card using the same folder from the Greenery Embossing Folders and attached it to the bottom of the stamped card.

I am happy with my first card using this stamp set, so thanks Sunday Stamps for the inspiration.  I’d love to hear what you think.
