A little bit of fun

July 17, 2020

The image panel of this card is one that grew from an idea I had, but, of course, my idea changed course while I was creating.  I began by stamped the tree trunk image from the Winter Woods stamp set onto Whisper White card using Cinnamon Cider ink.  I used a piece that I could cut down, so I could use some of the panel for the inside of the card.  I attached the largest piece of stamped card to the bottom of Whisper White card and wrapped the top using the Braided Linen Trim.  The panel is attached to scored and folded Cinnamon Cider card.  I stamped the car image from the Geared Up Garage stamp set onto Whisper White card using Cinnamon Cider ink. I masked across the panel and the card using post-it-notes.  I stamped the tree image from the Winter Woods stamp set across the panel using Just Jade ink.  With the masks still in place, I sponged some Just Jade ink onto the lower portion of the exposed card and Pool Party ink onto the top portion of the exposed card.  I removed the post-it-notes across the panel and replaced them so that they covered the tree portion of the panel.  I sponged some Cinnamon Cider ink across the Whisper White card and also a little Just Jade ink.  I cut the panel using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and attached it to a Cinnamon Cider stitched rectangle cut using the same dies.  The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set onto Whisper White card using Cinnamon Cider ink and cut it out using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I attached the greeting onto the bottom of the stamped panel.

I attached the remaining piece of Whisper White card stamped with the tree trunk image onto the bottom of Whisper White card and wrapped the top of the stamped panel with the Braided Linen Trim.

I really love this card, it kind of looks like a painting on the wall, don’t you think!

Bye for now,

Kris
