Golden Birthday

Today’s card is another one I created using the fancy fold I shared in my Facebook Live this week. To create the card base, you cut the A4 card in half on the short end (at 10.5cm) and trim 7cm from one end to create the flap for the front of the card. The piece you cut off becomes the base for the horizontal front panel.

You also need to cut a square of card (6cm) in half diagonally. To decorate the card base I attached pieces of the gorgeous Expressions in Ink Designer Series paper. I cut Gold Foil card using the Artistic Dies and attached the die cut to the card front. I stamped “happy birthday” from the Artistically Inked stamp set onto Basic White card using Magenta Madness ink and cut it out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

The die I used was not quite long enough for this greeting, so I cut one half and then re-attached the die and cut the other half. The greeting is attached to the card front using dimensionals. I cut Gold Foil using the leaf die from the Artistic Dies and attached them to the front of the triangle. To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the leaves from the Artistically Inked stamp set using Just Jade ink. I stamped the small flower from the Artistically Inked stamp set onto scrap Basic White card using Magenta Madness ink and cut it out using the co-ordinating Artistic Die. I attached the flower over the ends of the leaves.
This is such a fun fold to try. If you need more instruction just visit my Facebook Page and check out the video.
Bye for now,
Kris
