Hippos In Navy

August 23, 2022

Today’s card once again uses the Hippest Hippo stamp set, Hippo Dies and the Silver & Gold 6″ x 6″ Specialty Paper which you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a qualifying order. For this card I attached a piece of Night of Navy card down the right hand side of a Basic White panel before embossing using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I attached the embossed panel to scored and folded Smoky Slate card. I cut the Gold Dotted paper from the Specialty Paper using the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies and coloured it using Night of Navy ink and a Blending Brush.

I attached the circle to the card front with a strip of Gold Foil over the bottom edge. I cut Bermuda Bay card twice using the “wave” die from the Hippo Dies and attached them together. The waves are attached to Basic White card before being cut out using the second largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

I made sure that only the outside edges were attached to each other. I stamped the hippo image from the Hippest Hippo stamp set onto Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the image using Light Smoky Slate and Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. I attached the hippo image to the circle making sure to slip it in between the waves. I cut Night of Navy card using the Hippo Dies to get the goggle image and also the breathing apparatus and attached the pieces to the hippo image. The image circle is attached to the card front using dimensionals. To decorate the inside of the card, I coloured a strip of the gold dotted Specialty Paper using Night of Navy ink and a Blending Brush. I attached the paper across the bottom of Basic White card and stamped the greeting from the Hippest Hippo stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Another simple but cute card using these great products. Remember time is running out to earn these great products for FREE, so don’t forget to place your qualifying order very soon.

Bye for now,

Kris
