Elyssa’s Bread
I signed up for the Summer Motherload course with Noreen Smith which was conducted throughout the month of July. This is the first page I created following along with Noreen’s instructions. These courses do not dictate what papers or stamps you need to use, you just take the concept and create using whatever products you have in your stash. I used the Pool Party ink which I placed onto my Glass mat and sprayed with water. Then I took a plastic bag and placed it in the ink and then onto a White Willow 12″ x 12″ page. Once the Pool Party ink dried, I used the dotted mask from the Water & Dotted Lines 12″x 12″ Decorative Masks to add some dotted strips over the top using Pretty Peacock ink. I love how subtle this background turned out. I trimmed down the White Willow card to 11-1/2″ x 11-1/2″ and attached it to Pool Party Two Tone Paper 11-3/4″ x 11-3/4″. Lastly I attached the pages to Pretty Peacock Two Tone Paper 12″ x 12″. I cut various sized pieces from the Beautiful Ordinary Life 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and attached them to my page. I attached my photos to Basic White card and then Pool Party card to create the focal point on the page. I die cut Basic White card using the folder die and the note die from the Extraordinary Life Dies. I stamped the date image from the retired Reindeer Memories stamp set onto the folder die cut using Basic Black Hybrid ink.

I wrote the date using a Journaling Pen. This panel has a torn strip of Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper attached across the top before the whole piece is attached behind the lower edge of the photo panel. I die cut more of the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper using the circle die from the Lovely Arrangments Dies. I attached one of the die cuts behind the top edge of the photo panel before attaching it to the page. I attached the other circle piece below the photos. I cut the title from Pretty Peacock card using the Mini Alphabet Dies. I wrote my journaling onto the note die using the Journaling Pen before attaching it over the lower right hand corner of the photo panel. I stamped “love it” from the Extraordinary Life stamp set onto Basic White card using Pretty Peacock ink. I cut out the greeting using the co-ordinating Extraordinary Life Die. I also cut Pool Party card using the same heart die. The two hearts are attached to the bottom of the note die. I also added a heart from the Floral Flight Accents (retired). I added one more heart and one butterfly from the Floral Flight Accents below the left hand corner of the photo panel. The page was created using the idea that you can never have too many layers. Something I probably have never done before but love the end result. So thank you Noreen.
Bye for now,
Kris
