Great Birthday
Today’s card was created for a friend who celebrated their birthday recently. I cut my card base from Misty Moonlight card and added layers of Basic White to the card front and the inside of the card. You will notice that the card front is cut off so that the front panel is shorter than the back panel. I added two different patterns of the Waterside Retreat 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper onto the card front and the inside panel. I sponged Crumb Cake and Pool Party ink onto Basic White card to create the image panel.
I stamped the large leafy image and the small leafy image from the Relaxing Waterside stamp set onto the right hand side of the sponged Basic White card using Mossy Meadow ink. I also stamped the bird image from the Relaxing Waterside stamp set three times onto the top of the sponged panel using Misty Moonlight ink. The Basic White image panel is attached to Misty Moonlight card and then the card front. I stamped the chair image from the Relaxing Waterside stamp set onto scrap Basic White care using Misty Moonlight ink.
The chair image is cut out using the co-ordinating Relaxing Waterside Die before being attached the chair image to the card front. I stamped “have a great birthday” from the Relaxing Waterside stamp set onto a strip of Basic White card using Misty Moonlight ink. I cut a “V” into the left hand edge of the banner before attaching it to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped “today is your day” from the Relaxing Waterside stamp set onto a narrow strip of Basic White card using Misty Moonlight ink. I attached the banner across the bottom of the Designer Series paper on the inside of the card. I haven’t used this stamp set in a while – not sure why – but I love the finished card, don’t you?
