More Memorable Blooms

March 20, 2025

Today I have another card to share with you using the Memorable Blooms Bundle from the new January to April Mini Catalogue. I embossed a piece of Basic White card using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to scored and folded Summer Splash card.I cut an octagon from a piece of Blooms Impressions 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper using the Memorable Blooms Die.

I cut Basic White card using the two octagon dies from the Memorable Blooms Dies. I attached the Basic White die cut to the Designer Series Paper die cut before attaching it to the left hand side of the card front. I stamped “happy birthday” from the Racing By stamp set onto Basic White card using Summer Splash ink. I attached the greeting to a piece of Summer Splash card and then the card front using dimensionals.

Lastly I added three Basic Rhinestones to the image panel – just because! To decorate the inside of the card I embossed a narrow strip of Basic White card using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and attached a narrow strip of Summer Splash card behind one long edge. The panel is attached across the bottom of Basic White card.I stamped the greeting from the So Sincere stamp set onto the Basic White panel using Summer Splash ink. The whole panel is attached to the inside of the Summer Splash card base. I am having so much fun using this stamp set and just love the results of my “playing”.

Congratulations

March 18, 2025

I created my card today for my daughter & son-in-law who recently celebrated their wedding anniversary. I followed a video I found online here which showed how to create this tri-fold card. I cut the card bases from Basic White card using the Everyday Arches Dies and attached them together following the video instructions. To decorate the front of the card, I cut another arch from Basic White card and embossed it using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. The panel once attached covers the paper pieces which hold the card together. I stamped the image from the Stippled Roses stamp set onto Basic White card using Smoky Slate ink and coloured the image using Pretty in Pink and Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends.

I cut out the image using the co-ordinating Stippled Roses Die and attached it to the embossed panel using dimensionals. I stamped the greeting from the Cutest Onsie stamp set onto Basic White card using Smoky Slate ink and used the banner die from the now retired Heart Shaped Dies. The greeting is attached across the rose image. To decorate the middle panel of the card, I cut and embossed Basic White card as I did for the card front using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.

I cut Basic White card with a smaller Everyday Arches Die and stamped the greeting from the Layers of Beauty stamp set using Smoky Slate ink.I stamped the leaf image and part of the large floral image from the Stippled Roses stamp set onto Basic White card using Smoky Slate ink. I coloured the images using Petal Pink and Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends. I cut out the leaf image in two sections and the part of the large image I wanted and layered these across the stamped Basic White arch. I attached the panel flat onto the embossed Basic White card.

To decorate the last panel, I die cut Basic White card using the largest Every Day Arches Die and attached to the card base. I stamped the large floral image from the Stippled Roses stamp set onto Basic White card using Smoky Slate ink. I coloured the image as before and cut it into sections which I attached to the lower right hand corner of the panel. I think I am in love with these dies and this gorgeous card style. What about you, have you tried your hand at this style of card yet?

Iandra Castle

March 15, 2025

When we left Cowra to travel to Young we decided to drive by the Iandra Castle. It was built in the late 1800’s – early 1900’s. Unfortunately it wasn’t open on the day we drove by but it is certainly very much a “Castle”. I added a couple of pieces of Country Woods 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to a Basic White 12″ x 12″ page. I did sponge the edges of the Designer Series Paper using a sponge dauber and Early Espresso ink. I attached the photos to Basic White card before attaching them to my page. I cut Crumb Cake card using one of the Nested Essential Dies and sponged the edges using Early Espresso ink. The title is cut from Early Espresso card using the Mini Alphabet Dies. I stamped one of the images from the Keeping Tabs stamp set twice onto Basic White card using Smoky Slate and Real Red ink.

I stamped “this moment” onto one tab and “memories” onto the second tabe. Both greetings are from the Love This Moment stamp set onto the lined image using Early Espresso ink. I cut out the greeting using the Keeping Tabs Punch. I folded the tabs and sponged the edges using Early Espresso ink. I attached one to a photo and one to the title panel. I cut some tags from the Designer Series Paper and Crumb Cake card using the retired Greetings of the Season Dies. I sponged the edges using Early Espresso ink and attached them behind the tabs. I also added some Linen thread behind each of the tabs too. I printed my journaling onto Basic White card, cut it into strips, dipped the edges in Early Espresso ink and then attached them below the photos. I did stamp some leaves from the Layering Leaves stamp set using Old Olive ink. The leaves are punched out using the Bough Punch and attached to the left of the jounaling. I also added a bow tied with linen thread. I love how this page turned out and I love how the photos show off this gorgeous piece of Australian History. Iandra is so special it was heritage listed in 2005.

Another Birthday

March 13, 2025

Today’s card uses the Translucent Florals stamp set and co-ordinating dies. I cut my card base from Thick Basic White card and trimmed down the front panel. I cut a piece of Unbounded Beauty 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and attached it to the card front. I also attached a narrow strip of the same paper down the right hand side of Basic White card. I stamped the greeting from the Translucent Florals stamp set onto the Basic White panel and attached it inside the card base. I stamped the large leaf image from the Translucent Florals stamp set onto Basic White card using Summer Splash ink.

I stamped “happy birthday” from the Translucent Florals stamp set onto the lower right hand corner of the Basic White card. The stamped Basic White card is attached to Petunia Pop card and then the card front. I stamped two different flowers from the Translucent Florals stamp set onto Basic White card using Petunia Pop ink.

I cut out the flowers using the co-ordinating Translucent Florals Dies and attached them to the card front using dimensionals. I also added three Basic Rhinestones to the image panel. I love making this kind of card because it is really easy to cut the Designer Series Paper without waste. I cut the Designer Series Paper into a piece large enough to fit a standard card front, then I simply trim off the same amount that I trimmed from the card base and use that piece to add to the inside panel. Simple!

Let’s Party

March 11, 2025

Today’s card is one I made for my granddaughter who recently celebrated her birthday. I cut Basic White card using one of the Countryside Inn Dies. I attached a birthday cake which is one of the die cuts from the Wildflower Birthday 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. I attached the Basic White die cut to the centre of a piece of Wildflower Celebrations Designer Series Paper. I stamped “let’s party” from the Wildflower Celebrations stamp set onto Basic White card using Pretty in Pink ink. I used one of the banners from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the greeting.

I attached it across the bottom of the birthday cake using dimensionals, trimming the right hand end of the banner to align with the edge of the Designer Series Paper. I cut Thick Basic White card to give me a double opening card base and attached the decorative panel to the front. I cut Basic White card using the flag die from the Birthday Celebrations Dies.

The flag is attached to a piece of the same Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper I used on the card front. I stamped “happy” from the Birthday Celebrations stamp set onto Basic White card using Pretty in Pink ink. I cut out the greeting using one of the banners from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I stamped “birthday from the Wildflower Celebrations stamp set onto Basic White card using Pretty in Pink ink and cut it out using the same Stylish Shapes Die. I used the Birthday Celebrations Dies to create “17” which I cut from Petal Pink card. I attached the greetings across the top and the bottom of the flag and the numbers in the centre. I stamped “th” from the Birthday Celebrations stamp set beside the numbers using Pretty in Pink ink.

Lastly I attached a piece of one of the die cut banners from the Wildflower Celebrations Designer Series Paper across the right hand corner of the panel. The whole panel is attached to the central panel of the card base. To decorate the last panel of the card, I attached a balloon die cut from the Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper to the bottom left hand corner of Basic White card. I attached the rest of the banner I used on the central card panel to the upper right hand corner of the Basic White card. The Basic White panel is attached to Pool Party card and then the last panel of the card base. I am so happy with the way this has turned out. I think it is very pretty and thankfully my granddaughter loved it.

Peace Bell

March 8, 2025

No visit to Cowra is complete without visiting the Peace Bell. This bell was awarded to Cowra in 1992 in recognition of its long standing contribution to world peace and understanding. For my page I used both sides a sheet of Country Woods Designer Series Paper. I did sponge the edges of each piece with Early Espresso ink before attaching the panels to the Basic White page. I attached the small photo to my journaling panel before attaching this panel as well as the larger photos to Early Espresso card.

The journaling was printed onto Basic White card. The title is cut from Early Espresso card using the Mini Alphabet Dies. I used the Layers of Beauty stamp set, masks and dies to create the flowers in Daffodil Delight and Old Olive ink. I did have to fussy cut a few of the flowers as well. The roses are to represent the Peace Rose but I think my colours are not quite right, however, I think they look lovely on this page. I also die cut some leaves from Old Olive card using the Layers of Beauty Dies. The page feels peaceful which is how it feels when you visit the Peace Bell.

Arched Wishes Birthday

March 6, 2025

Today’s card uses the Arched Wishes stamp set and the Everyday Arches Dies. For this card, I attached a piece of Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to scored and folded Berry Burst card. I cut Basic White card using one of the Everyday Arches Dies. I stamped “make a wish” from the Arched Wishes stampset onto the top of the die cut and “happy birthday” onto the bottom of the die cut using Berry Burst ink. I stamped the cake image from the Arched Wishes stamp set onto scrap Basic White card and coloured the icing using Berry Burst Stampin’ Blends.

I also coloured the candle using Dark Lemon Lime Twist ink. I stamped the cake image onto a scrap piece of Bright & Beautiful Designer Series paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I cut out the wrapper part of the image and attached it over the stamped cake image. I stamped the “starry” image from the Arched Wishes stamp set onto the Basic White Die cut using Lemon Lime Twist ink, so that it would sit behind the top of the candle image.

I cut out the stamped cake image and attached it to the Basic White die cut using dimensionals. To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the balloon image from the Arched Wishes stamp set three times onto the lower left corner of Basic White card. I coloured the balloons using Berry Burst and Dark Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends. I simply love using these amazing products.

Cheese & Wine

March 4, 2025

Today’s card once again uses the One More Year stamp set from the January to April Mini Catalogue. For this card I attached two pieces of Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series paper to Basic White card. The whole panel is attached to scored and folded Berry Burst card. I stamped the wine & cheese image from the One More Year stamp set onto Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I coloured the image using Berry Burst, Dark Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Light Pebbled Path Stampin’ Blends. The image is cut out using the 2nd largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I attached the image panel to the card front using dimensionals.

I stamped the greeting from the One More Year stamp set onto Basic White card using Berry Burst ink. I cut out the greeting using the largest banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I trimmed off the right hand edge and attached the greeting to the card front using dimensionals where necessary. To decorate the inside of the card I inked “Happy Birthday” from another greeting from the One More Year stamp set using Berry Burst ink and stamped onto Basic White card. I stamped the “starry” image from the One More Year stamp set on either side of the greeting using Berry Burst ink making sure to stamp on scrap paper first. Another fun card using this stamp set.

Flagstaff Hill

March 1, 2025

Today’s page is one I created using the 1, 2, 3 Scrapbook Layout used in my February Scrapbook Class. Again this cutting layout was created by Noreen Smith (Creative & Organized Mom) and you can find it too if you do a search on You Tube. I cut one piece of Country Woods 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, sponged the edges using Basic Gray ink on the darker side of the paper and Basic Beige ink on the lighter side of the paper and attached the panels to White Willow 12″ x 12″ card. Before I attached the panels to the right hand page, I stamped one of the seaweed images from the Beauty of the Deep stamp set onto the top left hand corner using Pool Party ink, which I stamped onto scrap paper first. I cut the title from Basic Gray card using the Alphabet A La Mode Dies.

I did use Adhesive Sheet on the back of the Basic Gray card to make attaching it to the page easier. I die cut Basic Beige twice and Petal Pink once using the die from the Beauty of the Deep Dies. I also stamped the “sand dollar” image from the Seaside Wishes stamp set twice onto Basic White card using Pool Party ink. The images were cut out using the co-ordinating Seaside Wishes Die. I also die cut Basic Beige and Petal Pink card using one of the intricate “sand dollar” dies from the Seaside Wishes Dies. I stamped the greeting from the Seaside Wishes stamp set onto Basic White card using Basic Gray ink and cut it out using one of the tag dies from the Greetings of the Season Dies. I stamped the “sand dollar” image from the Seaside Wishes stamp set onto the right hand side of the tag using Pool Party ink which I stamped onto scrap paper first.

I stamped one of the seaweed images from the Beauty of the Deep stamp set onto the left hand side using Petal Pink ink which I stamped onto scrap paper first. I also used the small star fish die from the Seaside Wishes Dies to cut Petal Pink card. The star fish is attached to the tag to cover the ribbon hole. To create the journaling panel I stamped the line image from the Wildflower Celebrations stamp set onto Basic White card using Basic Gray ink which I stamped onto scrap paper first. I attached it to Basic Gray card before attaching the panel to the page. I hand wrote the journaling onto this panel – something I only do occasionally when I don’t have much to say. These photos were taken on our first road trip to Cooktown back in 2010 and bring back such happy memories.

Birthday Celebration

February 27, 2025

This week in my Facebook Live I shared some cards I created using some of the products from the Wildflower Birthday Suite Collection. Today I have another card to share. For this card I attached a piece of Wildflower Birthday 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to the left hand side of Basic White card. I attached a piece of Gold Foil card to the right hand side of the Basic White card. I die cut Basic White card using the large flag image from the Birthday Celebrations Dies and attached it (upside down) to the Gold Foil card.

I attached one of the die cut cupcake images from the Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper to the die cut flag. I embossed a strip of Pool Party card using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder before attaching it across the card front using dimensionals. The whole panel is attached to scored and folded Pool Party card.

I stamped “make a wish” from the Birthday Celebrations stamp set onto Basic White card using Pool Party ink and punched it out using the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. I attached the greeting across the left hand side of the embossed panel. To decorate the inside of the card, I attached a piece of Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper down the right hand side of Basic White card, I stamped “happy” and “birthday” from the Birthday Celebrations stamp set onto the Basic White card using Pool Party ink. This is such a gorgeous product suite and I love that it comes with some lovely die cut images to use on my creations. I am excited to do some more creating with all of these products.
