Awesome Grandson

May 13, 2025

My youngest grandson celebrated his 18th birthday recently and today I am sharing the card I made for him. I attached a piece of Country Woods 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to scored and folded Misty Moonlight card. I die cut a piece of Basic White card using the “peg board” die from the Trusty Tools Dies and attached it to Misty Moonlight card. The panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the hammer image from the Trusty Tools stamp set onto Basic White card using Basic Gray ink. I stamped the handle fill image using the same ink which I stamped onto scrap paper first.

I stamped the paintbrush image from the Trusty Tools stamp set onto Basic White card using Misty Moonlight ink. I stamped the paintbrush fill image using the same ink which I stamped onto scrap paper first. I stamped the paint image from the Trusty Tools stamp set onto the paintbrush using Pool Party ink. I stamped the tape measure image from the Trusty Tools stamp set onto Basic White card using Misty Moonlight ink. I stamped the fill image using the same ink which I stamped onto scrap paper first. I die cut each of the tools with the co-ordinating Trusty Tools Dies and attached them across the top of the “peg board”.

I stamped “your the most awesome” greeting from the Trusty Tools stamp set onto a strip of Basic White card using Misty Moonlight ink. I attached a piece of Misty Moonlight card behind the greeting and attached it to card front using dimensionals where necessary. To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped “grandson” from the Best Family Ever Stamp Set onto Basic White card using Misty Moonlight ink. I also stamped “happy birthday” from the same stamp set below the first greeting using the same ink. I attached a narrow strip of Country Woods Designer Series Paper across the bottom of the stamped panel before attaching it inside the card base. I love this card and it is really appropriate because my grandson just started his apprenticeship to become a builder.

Anzac Day

May 10, 2025

Todays pages are created using the 1,2,3 Layout from my April Classes. These layouts are created by Noreen Smith a Creative Memories consultant and you can find video instructions for these layouts on You Tube. I cut one sheet of Sweet Days of Autumn 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to create my layout. I added my photos to Early Espresso card before attaching them to the pages.

I did however add two 4″ x 3″ photos to each of the 4″ x 6″ spots on the layout. That way I could get more photos on my layout without having to add extra flaps. I used the retired Painted Poppies stamp set to create the flowers and leaves for the embellishments on my pages. Instead of colouring the flowers I used the fill image for the largest flower to add Real Red ink to the flowers and Old Olive ink to the leaves.

I also added some of the splotchy image from the stamp set as a background for my flowers. I stamped onto scrap paper first to give a lighter look to the background. The title is cut from Early Espresso card using the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. I am loving how much Memory Keeping I am getting done using the new products from Stampin’ Up!. I hope I am inspiring you to get your photos onto pages to share with your family and friends.

So Very Kind

May 8, 2025

Today’s card uses the Paper Tags Bundle one of the new Bundle from this year’s Annual Catalogue. I began by embossing a piece of Basic White card using the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder. I attached a piece of Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper across the bottom of the embossed panel before attaching the whole piece to Night of Navy card. I attached a narrow strip of Night of Navy card across the top of the Designer Series Paper before attaching the whole panel to scored and folded Thick Basic White card.

I stamped the greeting from the Paper Tags stamp set onto Basic White card using Night of Navy ink. I cut out the greeting using one of the Paper Tags Dies. I cut Balmy Blue card using another die from the Paper Tags Dies.

I attached the greeting to the Balmy Blue die before attaching the whole panel to the card front using dimensionals. To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped a greeting from The Right Words stamp set onto Basic White card using Night of Navy ink. I attached a narrow strip of Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper across the bottom of the stamped panel. I attached a narrow strip of Night of Navy to the top of the Designer Series Paper before attaching the Basic White panel to the inside of the card base. I love how this card turned out, simple but elegant, don’t you think?

Birthday in Pink

May 6, 2025

Today’s card is another one I created using the Arched Wishes stamp set and the Everyday Arches Dies. For this card, I stamped “happy birthday” from the Arched Wishes stamp set onto Basic White card using Berry Burst ink before embossing the panel using the Plaster Painting 3D Embossing Folder. I attached a piece of Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (on the last chance list) to the bottom of the embossed card.

I also attached a narrow strip of Berry Burst card above the Designer Series Paper. The whole panel is attached to scored and folded Berry Burst card. I cut Basic White card using one of the Everyday Arches Dies. I stamped the cake image from the Arched Wishes stamp set onto the die cut using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped the starry image from the Arched Wishes stamp set using Daffodil Delight so that it would sit behind the top of the candle.

I stamped the image onto two different pieces of scrap paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper and cut out the pieces and attached them over the stamped image. The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals. To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the balloon from the Arched Wishes onto the left hand side of Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped the image onto a scrap piece of Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper. I cut out the balloon and attached it over the stamped balloon. Such a pretty card and so suitable for a young lady, don’t you think.

Beechworth

May 3, 2025

Today’s page shows off some photos from our visit to Beechworth in February last year. We did a day trip from Wangaratta but discovered there was so much to see and do that we will have to go back and stay. I used Layout One from the Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Workshop Kit to showcase my photos.

I cut the Designer Series Paper and attach the pieces to the pages when I first get the kit and keep them safe until I have some photos to attach and then I add the embellishments as shown or I sometimes create my own to suit the layout. For this page, I did create my own title panel using Early Espresso card. I punched both ends of the card using the Elegant Edge Tag Topper Punch and added the title using the Mini Alphabet Dies which I cut from Basic White. I also created my own journaling tag using Basic White card which I also punched along one edge using the Elegant Edge Tag Topper Punch.

The journaling was printed on my computer and I attached the wooden trees from the kit over the top of the ends. Such a great way to get my photos onto pages quickly and easily. Unfortunately this kit has now retired but I am sure that you find something in the new offerings to suit your memories.

Scenic Journey

May 1, 2025

Here is another card I created using the Scenic Adventure Bundle which is an Online Exclusive product. This bundle will be available for purchase on the 5th May. I began my card today by stamping across the bottom of Basic White card using the “ground/grass” image from he Scenic Adventure stamp set using Lost Lagoon ink. I stamped the “cloud/mountain” image from the Scenic Adventure stamp set across the top of the Basic White card using Pool Party Ink. I stamped the tallest tree image from the Scenic Adventure stamp set three times onto the left hand side of the page using Lost Lagoon ink.

I stamped the medium sized tree on each side the tall trees using Lost Lagoon ink. I stamped the “let the begin” greeting from the Scenic Adventure stamp set onto the upper right hand side of the Basic White card using Early Espresso ink. I stamped “journey” greeting between the “let the” and the “begin” also using Early Espresso ink. I love how these two stamps combine to create this fabulous greeting.

The stamped Basic White panel is attached to scored and folded Lost Lagoon card. To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the “cheers to another” greeting from the Scenic Adventure stamp set onto Basic White card using Early Espresso ink. I stamped the “adventure” greeting from the same stamp set below the first greeting also using Early Espresso ink. I stamped the “ground/grass” image from the Scenic Adventure stamp set across the bottom of the Basic White card using Lost Lagoon ink. I stamped one tall and one medium tree from the Scenic Adventure stamp set onto the lower left hand corner of the Basic White card using Lost Lagoon ink. I had a lot of fun creating cards using this bundle and I haven’t even really started using the dies yet. I am sure that I will find many uses for this bundle in the future. I hope that you will too.

You’re How Old

April 29, 2025

Today’s card once again uses the fun One More Year stamp set. To begin I embossed a piece of Basic Beige card using the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to scored and folded Crumb Cake card. I stamped the puppy image from the One More Year stamp set onto Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The image is coloured using Crumb Cake, Dark Petal Pink, Berry Burst and Light Azure Afternoon Stampin’ Blends.

I cut out the image using the 2nd largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies and attached it to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the greeting from the One More Year stamp set onto Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out using one of the banner dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

I trimmed off the right hand edge and attached the banner to the card front using dimensionals where necessary. To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped another greeting from the One More Year stamp set onto Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the “starry” image from the One More Year stamp set onto either side of the greeting using Crumb Cake ink which I stamped onto scrap paper first. I am not sure but I think this might be my favourite card so far using this fun stamp set.

Beach Day

April 26, 2025

Today’s page was created using the sketch from my April Scrapbooking Class. I cut two pieces of Balmy Blue card and embossed them using the Seaside Wishes Hybrid Embossing Folder. I sponged the edges of these pieces using Night of Navy ink. I also cut one piece of Take to the Sky 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to use on the left hand page and again sponged the edges using Night of Navy ink. Before I attached the embossed panels and the Designer Series Paper, I used a blending brush to add Crumb Cake ink across the bottom of the right hand side of the page. I used a blending brush and Balmy Blue ink to add colour above the Crumb Cake section and also to add colour to the upper right hand corner of the page. I attached the photos for this page to Basic White card before attaching them to the Designer Series paper.

For the right hand page, I also added Crumb Cake ink using a Blending Brush across the bottom of the left hand side of the page. I used a blending brush to add Balmy Blue ink above the Crumb Cake section and also to the top left hand section of the page. I cut two pieces of the same pattern Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper and sponged all of the edges using Night of Navy ink. I attached them to the upper right and lower right hand side of the second page. The photos are attached without photo mats to the centre of the page. I stamped “a perfect” & “Day” from the Document The Day stamp set onto the top of the right hand page using Night of Navy ink. I cut the letters for “beach” from Night of Navy card using the Mini Alphabet Dies. I also stamped the bird image from the Friendly Seagulls above the title using Night of Navy ink. I stamped the large sand dollar image from the Seaside Wishes stamp set onto Basic White card using Crumb Cake ink.

I stamped the smaller sand dollar from the same stamp set onto Basic White card using Crumb Cake ink which has been stamped onto scrap paper first. I stamped the large and small star fish images from the Seaside Wishes stamp set onto Basic White card using Pecan Pie ink. I did stamp the large star fish image onto scrap paper first. All of the images were cut out using the co-ordinating Seaside Wishes Dies. I die cut Basic Beige card using the die from the Beauty of the Deep Dies. The large sand dollar, one of the small sand dollars and the large star fish are arranged onto the left hand page along with one of the Basic Beige die cuts. I printed my journaling onto Basic White card and cut it into strips. I dipped the edges of each strip into Night of Navy ink before attaching across the bottom of the right hand page. The second small sand dollar, small star fish and the remaining Basic Beige die cut are arranged next to the journaling. This was such a fun page to put together and I love how it turned out, don’t you?

Sunrise Sailing

April 24, 2025

This week in my Facebook Live I shared some cards I created using the Sunrise Sailing Bundle which is a new Online Exclusive, available for customers to purchase on the 6th May. I also decided to show you the new in-colours being released with the Annual Catalogue also on the 6th May. For the first card I used Strawberry Slush card which I embossed using the Sunrise Sailing Hybrid Embossing Folder. I attached the embossed panel to Basic White card. I stamped the greeting from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set onto Basic White card using Strawberry Slush ink and cut it out using one of the banner dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

I did trim the right hand edge so that it matches the edge of the embossed panel. To decorate the inside of the card, I die cut a strip of Strawberry Slush card using one of the border/sea dies from the Sunrise Sailing Dies and attached it across the bottom of Basic White card. I also stamped another greeting from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set onto the Basic White panel using Strawberry Slush ink.

The second card uses Darling Duckling card and ink. The greeting comes from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set. The third card uses Timid Tiger card and ink and the same greeting as the Darling Duck card. The fourth card uses Secret Sea card & ink and the greeting comes from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set. The last card using Cloud Cover card. The ink pad for this colour won’t be available until the catalogue release on the 6th May so I improvised and used the Cloud Cover Stampin’ Write Marker to ink up the greeting which comes from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set. This is a very light colour. Each of the cards has the same inside panel. I believe that this stamp set will be a very versatile one to have in your stash. And the new in-colours are going to be a big hit I am sure.

Don’t they all look great together!

On My Mind

April 22, 2025

Today I have another card to share using the Memorable Blooms stamp set. For this card I embossed Basic White card using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder before attaching it to scored and folded Summer Splash card. I die cut the octagon image from Blooms Impressions 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper using the Memorable Blooms Die and attached it to the card front. I die cut Summer Spash card twice using the large leaf image from the Memorable Blooms Dies. I attached the die cuts over the Designer Series Paper panel on the card front.

I stamped the greeting from the Memorable Blooms stamp set onto Basic White card and used one of the dies from the Enduring Beauty Dies to cut it out. The greeting is attached to the card front using dimensionals. I did add three Basic Rhinestones to the card front.

To decorate the inside of the card, I die cut another leaf from Summer Splash card using the Memorable Blooms Die. The leaf image is attached to the lower left hand corner of Basic White card. I embossed a narrow strip of Basic White card using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and attached a narrow strip of Summer Splash card behind one long edge. The embossed panel is attached across the bottom of the leaf image. Another simple card but pretty, don’t you think? Unfortunately this is now on the last chance list so don’t wait to place your order or you will miss out.
