Hello Toucan

January 30, 2024

Here is another card I created using the Jungle Pals stamp set and Jungle Pals Dies. I embossed Soft Sea Foam card using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. I cut Early Espresso card using the tree die from the Jungle Pals Dies and attached it to the right hand side of the embossed card, trimming away some excess card. The panel is attached to scored and folded Thick Basic White card. I used the Jungle Pals Dies to cut the small leaves from Garden Green card and attached them to the tree die. I used the Jungle Pals Dies to cut the large leaves from Garden Green card which I attached to the lower left hand corner of the embossed card.

I stamped the toucan image from the Jungle Pals stamp set onto Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the image using Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Flirty Flamingo, Light Cajun Craze and Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. The image is cut out using the co-ordinating Jungle Pals Die and attached to the card front using dimensionals.

I stamped the border image from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set onto Basic White card using Garden Green ink. I stamped the greeting from the Heartfelt Hellos stamp set inside the border using the same ink. I punched out the greeting using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch before attaching it to the card front using dimensionals. To decorate the inside of the card I stamped the toucan image from the Jungle Pals stamp set onto Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the image using the same Stampin’ Blends as I used for the image on the card front. I stamped the greeting from the Heartfelt Hellos stamp set beside the coloured image using Garden Green ink. Another fun card using some of the stamp sets and dies that you can earn for Free during Sale-a-Bration.

Christening

January 27, 2024

Today I am sharing a page with photos from my Christening way back in 1956. I cut pieces of the Softly Stippled 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and attached them to a Basic White 12″ x 12″ page. The Softly Stippled Designer Series paper is one of the products that you can have for free with a $90.00 order. It co-ordinates with the Stippled Roses Bundle and it’s so pretty! I attached my photos flat onto the page, usually I scan and reprint my photos but I couldn’t get clarity so I have used the originals.

I stamped the large and small flower from the Stippled Roses stamp set onto Basic White card using Lost Lagoon ink. I cut out the images using the co-ordinating Stippled Roses Die. I stamped the same images onto Basic White card using Wild Wheat ink and fussy cut just the flowers. I attached the fussy cut flowers onto the die cut bouquets before attaching them to the page. I printed my journaling onto Basic White card and cut it into a strip which I attached across the bottom of the page. I cut Basic White card using the Mini Alphabet Dies to create the title. So happy with this page. I’d love to hear what you think.

Happiness Birthday

January 25, 2024

This week in my Facebook Live I shared some cards I made using the Filled With Happiness stamp set which you can find in the new Mini Catalogue. I cut my card base from Fresh Freesia card and then trimmed down the front panel. I attached a piece of Delightfully Eclectic 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to the front panel. I stamped the top half of the Happy Birthday image from the Filled with Happiness stamp set onto the top of a piece of Basic White card using Fresh Freesia ink.

I stamped the bottom half of the image onto the bottom of the same piece of Basic White card using the same ink. The stamped panel is attached to the piece I cut from the card base and then the card front. I stamped the leafy image from the Sending Smiles stamp set onto a narrow strip of Basic White card using Lost Lagoon ink. I slid this strip into the Modern Oval Punch so that I only punched one end.

I flipped the strip around and then punched the other end. I attached this panel to the card front inside the stamped greeting using dimensionals. I stamped the flower from the Sending Smiles stamp set onto Basic White card using Fresh Freesia ink. I stamped the flower centre onto the flower using Lemon Lolly ink. I cut out the flower using the co-ordinating Sending Die and attached it to the card front. I did use my Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Write Marker to connect the flower to the leafy image. To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped one of the flower stems onto the lower left hand corner of Basic White card using Lost Lagoon ink. I also stamped the flower using Fresh Freesia and Lemon Lolly ink. Isn’t this a fun stamp set, so many possibilities.

Life is Sweeter

January 23, 2024

with the Watercolor Melon stamp set which you can earn for FREE with a qualifying order ($90.00) during Sale-A-Bration. I decided to CASE the Sale-A-Bration catalogue to create my card today. I embossed Shaded Spruce card using the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to scored and folded Thick Basic White card. I stamped the leafy image from the Watercolor Melon stamp set twice onto Basic White card using Shaded Spruce ink. I stamped the greeting from the Share a Milkshake stamp set below the leafy images using Basic Gray ink.

I stamped the whole watermelon image onto Basic White card using Shaded Spruce ink and punched it out using the Modern Oval Punch (you have got to love it when you don’t have to fussy cut). I attached this image over the top of the stamped leafy images. I stamped the slice of watermelon onto Basic White card using Poppy Parade ink and the skin image around the slice using Shaded Spruce ink.

I added some seeds using Poppy Parade ink as well. I was able to use the Modern Oval Punch to punch out the image and just trim across the top of the slice. I attached this image to the stamped panel using dimensionals. The whole panel is attached to Poppy Parade card and then the card front. To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the leafy image from the Watercolor Melon onto Basic White card using Shaded Spruce ink. I stamped the greeting from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set onto Basic White card using Basic Gray ink. I trimmed the greeting into three sections and attached them beside the leafy image. I had fun with this stamp set and I know I am going to love playing with it more.

Christmas Day

January 20, 2024

2023. Over the past couple of years we have been celebrating Christmas Day with my Mum and Dad, my sister, her daughter and grandson. Quiet but lovely just the same. I embossed Basic White card using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I attached my photo, the embossed Basic White card and two pieces of the now retired Joyful 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper to Smoky Slate card. I attached the whole panel to Shaded Spruce card and then to a Basic White 12″ x12″ page. I used the Christmas Classic Die to cut Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler card. I cut the berries from the Cherry Cobbler card and attached them to the Shaded Spruce die cut. I attached the die to the embossed Basic White panel. I printed my journaling onto Basic White card and cut it out using the Christmas Classic Die. The journaling is attached to the centre of the Shaded Spruce die cut. Another simple page and I am not sure that the photo is that great but it is certainly better than any selphie I can take! Unfortunately the Designer Series Paper and the Christmas Class Dies are now retired but I am sure many of you will have these products in your stash.

Long Jetty

January 13, 2024

Today’s page shows off a photo of my Dad with his Father and brother and sister at Long Jetty on the New South Wales Central Coast. I don’t have an exact date but it was taken in the 1940’s and judging by my Dad, probably mid 1940’s. I used a Blending Brush to add Boho Blue ink to a Basic White 12″ x 12″ page before attaching strips of the Let’s Go Fishing 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

I attached my photo to Boho Blue card before attaching it to the page. I cut three fish from the Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper and attached them to the page. I printed my journaling onto Basic White card, cut it into a narrow strip, attached it to Pebbled Path card before attaching it across the bottom of the page. I cut the title from Pebbled Path card using the Mini Alphabet Dies which you can find in the current Mini Catalogue. I love these dies because with one cut you can get enough letters to create lots of different words. Another simple page, but I would love to know what you think.

Happy Anniversary

January 9, 2024

My sister recently celebrated her Wedding Anniversary and today I am sharing the card I made for her. I followed instructions from Susan Camperfield to create a Book Jacket Fold card. I cut my card base pieces from Thick Basic White card. I added two pieces of the Delightfully Eclectic 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, one to the spine of the book and one to the right hand side of the inside flap. I embossed three pieces of Basic White card using the Countryside Corners 3D Embossing Folder and attached one to the front flap one to the inside of the card and one to the right hand flap next to the Designer Series Paper.

I die cut two leaves and one of the two of the flowers from Basic White card using the Meadow Dies. I used a Dark Shaded Spruce and a Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends to colour the die cuts before attaching two sets of leaves and one of the flowers to the card front.

I stamped “happy anniversary” from the now retired Celebrating You stamp set onto Basic White card using Fresh Freesia ink. I cut out the greeting using the banner die from the Meadows Dies. I attached a piece of Fresh Freesia card behind the banner before attaching it to the card front using dimensionals. I attached the last flower to the right hand flap onto the embossed Basic White card. I also stamped a greeting from the Charming Sentiments stamp set onto the inside of the folding flap using Fresh Freesia ink. This is a fun fold which is relatively easy to create and it folds flat to go in an envelope to post. So thanks Susan for the inspiration. I’d love to know what you think.
