Stamping 411 Challenge

January 26, 2010

As you know I belong to a Yahoo Group called Latenight Stampers and I saw  a post regarding the challenges at Stamping 411.  I had a card kit left over from my technique class on Saturday which used the same shaped pieces so I had my first attempt at a Stamping 411 sketch challenge.

This is what I came up with.  I used the Always stampset and the matching wheel Always in Bloom.  My base card is Bashful Blue and I stamped the open flower from the Always stampset randomly using Bashful Blue ink and also Versamark ink.  I sponged the edges with Bashful Blue and then Close to Cocoa ink just on the very edge.  I used the Always in Bloom wheel and Versamark ink on the Bashful Blue panel on the left.  I also sponged the edges with Bashful Blue and Close to Cocoa ink and then mounted it onto a piece of Close to Cocoa Cardstock.  The Very Vanilla panel was stamped with the words using Close to Cocoa ink (and my Stamp-a-ma-jig) and then the vine image was stamped all around using Bashful Blue ink.  Again I sponged the edges with Bashful Blue and Close to Cocoa ink.  I stamped the heart image using Close to Cocoa ink onto Very Vanilla card and then used my Full Heart punch to get my heart.  I used Close to Cocoa ink to sponge the edges and I also sponged lightly across the whole image.  I added a small rhinestone brad and then using dimensionals attached it to the card.  I am rather happy with the way it turned out.  What do you think?

Bye for now, Kris
