Happy I do day

July 6, 2011

I was asked to be a guest designer for Late Night Stampers this month and I cannot tell you what an honour this is for me.  The talent on this group is amazing.  So you will see quite a few creations this month which relate to the theme challenges at Late Night Stampers each week.

The challenge this week is to create a card for a new beginning – new job, new home, new baby, new spouse, new retirement etc.  I used the sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday for this card and just love how it turned out.  I have used Whisper White as the base for this card.  I added a strip of Perfect Plum card to the left hand side which has been embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  The next layer is a rectangle of Pretty in Pink card embossed using the Square Lattice  Embossing Folder.  On top of this is a layer of Pink Pirouette card embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  I stamped “happy I do day” from the Word Play stampset using Perfect Plum ink onto Whisper White card and used my 1 3/4″ circle to punch it out.  I added a 2 3/8″ scallop circle cut from Perfect Plum.  I used dimensionals under the scallop circle to pop it up.   Lastly I added a small basic rhinestone.

What do you think?

Bye for now, Kris.
