Strength and Hope

July 12, 2011

I made this card for the sketch challenge at Stamping 411 this week.  I have used Whisper White as my card base and added a layer of Blushing Bride which has been embossed using the Tulips Embossing Folder.  I wrapped the Blushing Bride card with Whisper White 5/8″ Satin Ribbon before attaching it to the card base.  I attached a piece of Blushing Bride designer paper from the Level 1 Hostess Designer Series Paper Pack to Whisper White card and attached it to the card over the ribbon using dimensionals.  I embossed a piece of Blushing Bride card using the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, added a Whisper White mat and attached it to the right hand side of the card front.  I cut Whisper White card using the Ovals Originals Die and stamped the middle sized oval using the “words” from the Strength and Hope stampset using Blushing Bride ink.  I also sponged the edges with the same ink.  I stamped the butterfly from the same stampset onto Whisper White card using Blushing Bride ink and cut it out.  I attached the oval to the card using dimensionals and then attached the butterfly using dimensionals under the wings.  Lastly I made a bow and attached it to the card using Mini Glue Dots.

Simple card but I like it.

Bye for now, Kris.

Gorgeous card Kris. I love this set but haven’t thought to ink it up with Blushing Bride. Hmmm thinking that I will have to sometime today.

Beautiful Kris. I didn’t get this set, but after seeing this, thought maybe I should have…
