Fresh Cuts one last time

August 6, 2011

I created this card using the Sketch at Stamping 411 and the colour challenge at Create with Connie and Mary

I embossed a piece of Whisper White card using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.   I attached a piece of Daffodil Yellow Designer paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack to Basic Black card which has been punched along the bottom edge using the Eyelet Edge Punch.  I used Mini Glue Dots to attach this to the embossed Whisper White card.  I stamped the “leaf” image from the Fresh Cuts stampset onto Whisper white card using Old Olive ink attached a Basic Black mat and added it to my card front again using Mini Glue Dots.  I wrapped this whole piece using Daffodil Delight 5/8″ Satin Ribbon.  I created an “Elegant Bow” using the same ribbon and attached it on top of the wrapped ribbon using Mini Glue Dots.  The whole piece was then attached to the scored and folded Basic Black card.  I stamped the single flower from the Fresh Cuts stampset onto Whisper White card using Daffodil Delight ink and cut it out.  I pierced a hole in the centre of the flower using my Paper Piercer and Mat Pack and added a Basic Black Brad.  The flower was then attached over the “leaf” image using a Mini Glue Dot.

Here is a close up of the Elegant Bow.  We had a whole class last week based around ribbon and bows, so ladies I do use the techniques that I teach.

I’ll be sorry to see this stampset retire, although I must confess to not using it very much.

Bye for now, Kris.
