An Elegant Build A Blossom

This is the card that I demonstrated at my last workshop.  I used the Build a Blossom stampset and the Blossom Petals Builder punch.

My base card is Elegant Eggplant and I added a layer of Whisper White.  I punched a strip of Melon Mambo card using the Lace Ribbon Border punch and attached it behind a piece of Elegant Eggplant card which I embossed using the Finial Press Embossing Folder.  I wrapped the Elegant Eggplant/Melon Mambo piece with Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon and tied a knot.  This piece was then attached to the card front.  I stamped the petal image from the Build a Blossom stampset onto Whisper White card using Elegant Eggplant ink eight times and punched them out using the Blossom Petals Builder punch. 

I punched a Whisper White 3/4″ circle and attached the petals to it.  I tied a sliver of Whisper White cardstock through an Elegant Eggplant button from the Regals Designer Buttons and attached it to the centre of the flower using Mini Glue Dots.  I added dimensionals behind each of the petals and Mini Glue Dots to the centre of the back of the flower and then attached it to the card front.  I stamped”birthday wishes” from the Sincere Salutations stampset  using Elegant Eggplant ink.

This is really a striking card – I just love it.  The Melon Mambo really lifts the Elegant Eggplant and makes the whole card pop.
