Flower Fest
I couldn’t resist using my newest stamp set when I saw the sketch at Stamping 411 this week.
I ran a piece of Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot using the Stripe Embossing Folder, wrapped it with Pretty in Pink 5/8″ Satin Ribbon and tied a knot. I attached the Whisper White card stock to a piece of Pretty in Pink card stock and then to a scored and folded Whisper White card base. I stamped the largest flower from the Flower Fest stampset onto Perfect Plum card using Perfect Plum ink 4 times.
I used my 2 3/8″ scallop circle punch to punch out one full image. I cut smaller layers from each of the other 3 stamped images. I attached the layers on top of each other using dimensionals. I stamped the large leaf image onto Certainly Celery card using Certainly Celery ink and cut out each image. I attached the leaves and the flower to the card front using Mini Glue Dots.
I wasn’t too impressed by this stampset when I first saw it in the catalogue but its possibilities have grown on me and I am so happy I finally have it.
I’d love to hear what you think.
Bye for now, kris.

I just bought that stamp set today (cyber Monday) at about 40% off because I wanted it specifically for the large flower that is perfect for layering. Your card has made me really glad that I did. Just that one card you made could be used for so many different occasions. Can’t wait to get it!

Mary, I absolutely love the fact that this set both uses punches for that extra quick card or can be layered to give a really gorgeous flower when you want to go to a little more trouble. I know that you are going to create some gorgeous cards once your stampset arrives.
