SC 015/11

November 6, 2011

Here we are again at the beginning of another challenge week at Sunny Challenges and Creations.  I can’t believe it is 15 weeks since Vicky, Gwen and I started this challenge blog.  Every week we are amazed, not only by all of your fabulous creations but by the fact that the 3 of us come up with so many different ideas based on the same sketch.  I’m sure this week will be no exception.  Our challenge this week is to use this great sketch by Gwen and also to use the Emboss Resist Technique.

I started with a base card of More Mustard and added a layer of Whisper White which has been embossed using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I stamped the images from the French Foliage stampset onto Whisper White card using Versamark ink, sprinkled on White Embossing powder which I heat set.  I sponged over the embossed images with Daffodil Delight ink, then Pumpkin Pie ink and then lastly with Old Olive Ink.  I attached each of the embossed pieces to Old Olive card and attached them to the card front.  I stamped “happy birthday wishes” from the Petite Pairs stampset onto Whisper White card stock using Old Olive ink.  I punched the greeting out with the Large Oval Punch and attached it to a Daffodil Delight Scallop Oval.  I attached the image piece to the card front using dimensionals.

I have always been drawn to this stampset but finally gave in and bought it after seeing some gorgeous projects using it – now I wonder why I waited so long.

Bye for now, Kris.

This is such a pretty card Kris. So sorry I couldn’t get to Regionals after all. Dad went into hospital on Tuesday and came home yesterday.

Hi Leigh, thanks for your lovely comment. Hope your Dad is ok. We caught up the Jane Norrish and she said she would pass along a hello to you and Jean. Maybe we can catch up next time.
