Clean and Simple Challenge

March 2, 2012

I love the challenges at Clean and Simple simply because they are so “clean and simple”.  This weeks sketch is for a single layer card something which I love to make but usually cannot resist adding layers and embellishments.

I started with Whisper White card stock and used a die cut negative of a 3″ circle.  I sponged Daffodil Delight ink inside the circle and then stamped the image from the Sale-A-Bration Fresh Vintage stamp set over the top of the sponging using Early Expresso ink.  I stamped “happy birthday” from the Bring on the Cake stampset straight onto the card front again using Early Expresso.

I decided to have a play and make another card.  This one also starts with Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the stem image from the Field Flowers stamp set using Certainly Celery ink.  I stamped the flowers using Rose Red ink straight onto the card front.  I also stamped the greeting from the same stamp set again using Rose Red ink.

Well there you are two really simple but I believe quite stunning cards, both done in a matter of moments.

I’d love to hear what you think.

Bye for now, Kris.

I know what you mean…I always embellish, embellish, embellish and sometimes it is too much! Simple says it just as well if not better! Thanks!
