Happy Birthday Elyssa
My granddaughter Elyssa turns 4 on Tuesday and we are celebrating her birthday with a family lunch this weekend. She is very excited about turning 4 and starting pre-prep this year. You have already seen the card I made for her in this previous post but today I thought I would share the gift bag I decorated to hold her present.
I started with Pretty in Pink card stock which has the one edge punched using the Scallop Border Punch. I added a layer of Wisteria Wonder which is also punched along one edge using the Scallop Border Punch. The top layer is a piece of the Flirtatous Specialty Designer Paper. I wrapped Wisteria Wonder 1/2″ Ruffled Ribbon, tied a bow and attached it to the front of the plain white gift bag. I punched five 2-3/8″ Scallop Circles from Whisper White card and cut them into a spiral. I sponged the edges of three using Pretty in Pink ink and two using Wisteria Wonder ink. Each spiral was rolled and glued using Crystal Effects to create a pretty “rose”. I punched three sets of leaves from Old Olive card stock using the Two Step Bird Punch and attached them over the Wisteria Wonder ribbon. The flowers where then attached over the top of the leaves. I used Tombow Multipurpose Glue to attach the flowers, so I left the bag flat until they had dried.
I think they make rather a gorgeous pair and I’m sure Elyssa will love it. Of course, she will love the new clothes even more.
Bye for now, Kris.
Absolutely beautiful!!! What a dainty and delicate gift bag. The card is also gorgeous. I’m sure Elyssa will love it!!! ~Sophia
