Sunny Challenge 30

March 4, 2012

This week we have a new guest designer at Sunny Challenges and Creations, the very talented Libby Dyson.  Libby is a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator who lives in the Blue Mountain area near Sydney in New South Wales.   She has very kindly agreed to join us for the next four challenges and this week she has presented us with a sketch on which we are to use buttons.

I cut a piece of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and attached it to scored and folded Calypso Coral card stock.  I ran a piece of Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and attached it to the left had side of the card front.  I punched eight petals from Calypso Coral card stock using the Blossom Petals Builder Punch.  I used Calypso Coral ink to sponge the edges of each petal and then curled the petals slightly with my bone folder.  I punched a 3/4″ circle from Calypso Coral card stock and attached four petals to it and then another four petals over the top to create my flower.  I added a dimensional to the back of the flower and attached it to the card front.  I tied a bow in a Whisper White Neutrals Designer Button using Whisper White Bakers Twine and attached it to the centre of the flower using Mini Glue Dots.  I stamped the greeting from the Field Flowers stamp set onto Whisper White card stock using Calypso Coral ink and punched it out using the Wide Oval Punch.  I punched a Decorative Label from Calypso Coral card stock and attached it behind the greeting.  The greeting panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals.  I tied a bow using four loops from the Sale-A-Bration Lucky Limeade  1/8″ Organdy Ribbon and attached it to the card front using a Mini Glue Dot.  I punched three of the smallest hearts on the Heart to Heart Punch from Calypso Coral and attached them to the back of three heart shaped Bitty Buttons and then to the card front using Mini Glue Dots.

Ok now you have seen my inspiration pop on over and visit Vicky and Libby and don’t forget to let them know how much you love their inspiration.  Once you have created your card, scrapbook page or 3d item add them to Mr. Linky on the Sunny Challenges and Creations blog.  I am looking forward to seeing all your gorgeous creations again this week.

Bye for now, Kris.
