Late Night Stampers Challenge

April 16, 2012

I don’t get to play along with these challenges as much as I would like, but this week, I managed to get a card done just in the nick of time.

I stamped the En Francaise Background onto Whisper White card stock using Certainly Celery ink making sure that I didn’t apply too much pressure, I wanted a kind haphazard impression.  I also sponged the edges of this card lightly with Certainly Celery ink and then attached it to scored and folded Basic Gray card stock.  I punched one long edge of a strip of Rose Red card stock using the Scallop Trim Border Punch, attached it to a piece of Whisper White card stock  and then embossed the whole piece using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I stamped the image from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set onto Whisper White card stock using Certainly Celery ink – twice – and then attached the image panels to Certainly Celery card stock.  I punched the flowers from Rose Red card stock using one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, attached them to the image panel and then attached tiny Basic Pearls to the centre of each flower.  I attached the image panels to the card front over the embossed Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the greeting from the Apothecary Art stamp set onto Whisper White card stock using Rose Red ink.  I cut a mat from Certainly Celery but before attaching them together I used my 1-1/4″ Square Punch to make the “flag” end.  I used my bone folder on this piece to give it a slight curl and attached it with Mini Glue Dots on each end and a dimensional in the middle.

I like it, what do you think?

Bye for now, Kris.
