Two Step Bird

This is a card we made yesterday at my Beachmere Class.  I haven’t used the Two Step Bird punch in a while and decided to combine it with the beautiful new in-colours.

The leaves are cut from Gumball Green card using the Little Leaves sizzlit.  I trimmed the branches down a little and then added them to Very Vanilla card.

I embossed the Very Vanilla card and attached it to scored and folded Midnight Muse card.  I stamped ‘happy birthday” from the Bring on the Cake stampset onto Very Vanilla card using Midnight Muse ink, attached it to a piece of Midnight Muse card which has both long edges punched using the Scallop Trim Border punch and then to the card front.  I punched the bird body and wing from Midnight Muse card using the Two Step Bird punch and attached them to the card front over the leaves.  I punched the flowers from Primrose Petals card using one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and attached them around the bird and over the leaves.  I used Dazzling Details Sparkling Silver to add centres to the flowers and also an eye to the bird.  This is a brand new product and absolutely wonderful, although it does take a little while to dry.  You can just see in the close up of the flowers that it is slightly smudged.  I had carefully set aside my card to dry and promptly placed a stamp box on top!  I kind of like the effect but will remember to be very careful in the future.

I think it is a lovely card and the ladies all seemed to like it as well.  What do you think?
