Happy Birthday Jason

November 6, 2014

051Yesterday my son-in-law celebrated his birthday.  It’s always a dilemma to know what to buy and as usual I ended up opting for his favourite Bourbon.

I saw these cards on Pinterest by Ally at Laughadaisy and knew that I could make something very similar using Stampin’ Up! products.

I embossed Blackberry Bliss card using the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, added a strip of Lost Lagoon card which is punched using the Scallop Border Punch and then attached it to Sahara Sand card.048  I stamped the greeting from the Sassy Salutations stamp set using Blackberry Bliss ink.  I wrapped Tangello Twist 1/2″ Stitched Satin Ribbon before attaching to scored and folded Blackberry Bliss card.  049I used the Stars Framelits Dies to cut two small (one from Blackberry Bliss card and one from Lost Lagoon card) and one slightly larger star (from Sahara Sand card).  I embossed the Sahara Sand star using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, attached it to the card front using dimensionals and added the Blackberry Bliss star, again using dimensionals. 050 I punched a small star using the star punch in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack from Sahara Sand card, attached it to the Lost Lagoon star and then the card front.  I also added one small star punched from Blackberry Bliss card using the same punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

052To decorate the inside of the card, I wrapped Sahara Sand card with the Tangello Twist 1/2″ Stitched Satin Ribbon.  I attached a small Sahara Sand star to a slightly larger Blackberry Bliss star, which is attached over the ribbon.

I created a tag to hang from the bottle using all the same elements.  This time the greeting is from the Project Life Remember This Photopolymer stamp set.

I think these turned out really well and can’t thank Ally enough for the inspiration.  I’d love to hear what you think.

Bye for now,

Kris

Your card and tag are lovely. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog – I’m happy you found inspiration in something I created. Best wishes. 😉
