Oh Happy Day
My friend Vicky shared some amazing notecards on her blog using the Day at the Beach stamp set which I cased for a card at my class at Beachmere. This stamp set was available to demonstrators on the pre-order for the new Holiday Catalogue. (You will be able to order on 1st September.) I had originally purchased the Day at the Beach stamp set with the idea that it would be fantastic to use in my Project Life pages. This card set me in motion and last night at my Memory Keeping Class I was able to create two 4×6″ cards and four 3×4″ cards. They use the same layout and colours and different images from the stamp set. The background is created by sponging Crumb Cake onto one half of Very Vanilla card and Soft Sky ink onto the other half. The Very Vanilla card is then attached to Soft Sky card. I used the Layering Love stamp set to add the sentiments to the large cards and three of the smaller cards use sentiments from the retired Project Life Remember This stamp set. The last one uses the “happy day” greeting from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set. I used Crumb Cake and Soft Sky inks as well as Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the sentiments and images. I coloured the images using Calypso Coral, Soft Sky and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Markers. The images are stamped onto the cards and then onto scrap Very Vanilla card which is coloured, cut out and attached over the stamped images using dimensionals.
I am so grateful for this wonderful idea. My head is now spinning with ideas for other stamp sets to use in my Project Life pages.
Take a visit to Vicky’s blog and if you are up around the Harvey Bay area(QLD) and don’t have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, be sure to look up Vicky.
I really love this stamp set and I didn’t even use all the images, so many to choose from and all very cute. What do you think, bet you can’t wait to see the new catalogue now. If you don’t have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and you live in Australia, please contact me to get a copy.
Bye for now,
