Flirty Florals
This is the second card I made using the sketch challenge at Global Design Project. This time I attached Flirty Flamingo card to the bottom of Whisper White card. I stamped the greeting from the Floral Phrases stamp set onto the Whisper White card using Smoky Slate ink and then embossed the whole piece using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. I wrapped the join using the Smoky Slate 1/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon and attached the whole panel to scored and folded Smoky Slate card.
I stamped the floral image from the Floral Phrases stamp set twice onto Whisper White card, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure that they lined up properly. I cut the image using the Layering Circle Framelit Dies and attached it to a scalloped circle cut from Smoky Slate card using the same dies. The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals. I tied another piece of the Smoky Slate 1/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon to create a knot.
To decorate the inside I kept it pretty simple and stamped the floral image once more on the centre of the bottom of Whisper White card.
Don’t you just love the way that this gorgeous floral stamp has so much dimension. Each part of the flower and leaves has changes in depth of colour which is just so pretty.
Soooooo, I’m liking this card a little more than the last one but I’d love to hear what you think.
Bye for now,
Kris
