A Birthday Flower

This is a card that once more uses retiring product – Falling in Love Designer Series paper. Such pretty paper and I still have heaps left, so now is the time to use it up before all the new goodies arrive. I stamped the greeting from the Butterfly Basics stamp set onto the lower right hand corner of Whisper White card using Sweet Sugarplum ink and embossed the stamped card using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder (I am so glad that this embossing folder is carrying over to the new catalogue.)I attached a strip of the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper to the left hand side of the embossed card. I wrapped the card with some of the Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon before attaching to scored and folded Sahara Sand card. I stamped the flower stem from the Wild About Flowers stamp set onto Whisper White card using Always Artichoke ink. I stamped the flower image onto the flower stem using Sweet Sugarplum ink. I cut the flower image using one of the ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and attached it to a scalloped oval cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.
The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals.
To decorate the inside of the card, I once more stamped the leaves and flowers onto the lower left hand side of Whisper White card. I attached a narrow strip of Sahara Sand card behind one long edge of a strip of the same Falling in Love Designer Series Paper before attaching to the bottom edge of the stamped card.
This card is so soft and pretty. I love it and I hope that my friend loved it too. Let me know what you think.
Bye the way I am making progress in trying to use up my designer series paper stash, slowly. So thanks for coming along and sharing the journey with me.
Bye for now,
Kris
