Happy Mother’s Day

May 15, 2017

I hope that all of you who are Mother’s had a wonderful day yesterday being spoilt by the ones you love.  I know I was.

Here is the card I made my Mum for Mother’s Day.  You can tell that I am still loving using up my designer series paper, this one uses the beautiful Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper (unfortunately sold out) – it also helps that I am truly attracted to blues!  I must apologise that so many products on this card are sold, but once the retiring list comes out things disappear quickly.

I attached a strip of the Floral Boutique Designer Series paper to the bottom of Whisper White card.  I wrapped the card just above the Designer Series Paper with Night of Navy Solid Baker’s Twine (retiring and sold out) about 5 times.  The ends of the twine are secured on the back.  I stamped the greeting which comes from the Crazy About You stamp set (retiring) using Night of Navy ink.  I stamped the flower from the Floral Boutique stamp set (not retiring – YAY!) onto Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink and cut it out.  I attached it to the top left hand corner of the card.  I know it seems crazy to stamp an image, cut it out and then not use dimensionals etc, but the simple fact that it is cut out, actually gives it so much more dimension.  The Whisper White card is attached to scored and folded Night of Navy card before I attached the bow tied with the Night of Navy Solid Baker’s Twine.

To decorate the inside of the card, I attached a strip of the same designer series paper across the bottom of Whisper White card.  Once more I wrapped the card just above the designer series paper using the Night of Navy Solid Baker’s Twine.

Simple, but so pretty, don’t you think.

Bye for now,

Kris
