Home to Roost

March 11, 2019

Today’s cards are created using the Home To Roost stamp set which is FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration.  I embossed Whisper White card using the Hexagon Dynamic Embossing Folder and attached a piece of Botanical Butterflies Designer Series paper (also FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration) to the left hand side.  I wrapped the edge of the designer series paper with the 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon before attaching the panel to scored and folded Cajun Craze card.  I cut Whisper White card using a square from the Layering Squares Framelits Dies and stamped the wheat image from the Home to Roost stamp set across the square using Crumb Cake ink. I attached the stamped square to a scalloped square of Cajun Craze card cut using the same dies.  The panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the rooster from the Home To Roost stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured the image using Smoky Slate, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends.  I cut out the rooster and attached it to the stamped Whisper White square.

To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the wheat image onto the lower left hand corner of Whisper White card using Crumb Cake ink.  I attached a narrow strip of Cajun Craze card behind one long edge Whisper White card embossed using the Hexagon Dynamic Embossing Folder before attaching it over the stamped image.

I liked this card very much and created four cards altogether using the same images.  For each of the cards, I coloured the roosters using different combinations of Smoky Slate, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends.

I think they turned out really lovely and by not adding greetings, I can use them for lots of occasions.  What do you think?  Do you love this rooster too?

Bye for now,

Kris
