Here’s to a Merry Christmas

Whilst still waiting for my Holiday Catalogue pre-order to arrive, I decided to create another Christmas Card using the supplies I already have. I must say that I didn’t have may stamp sets to work with. I had seen other Christmas Cards made using the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and thought that I would give it a try. I coloured the flowers in the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper using the Cherry Cobbler Blends. The background and the leaves are already coloured, so it’s not as much colouring as you would think. My piece of Designer Series Paper was already chopped (#loveitchopit) so I only had to cut it in half. I cut a strip of Cherry Cobbler card using the Delicate Lace Dies and attached the edge behind one long edge of one half of the Designer Series Paper. I attached the Designer Series Paper to Whisper White card embossed with the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder before wrapping the top of the Designer Series Paper with Gold 3/8″ Metallic Edge Ribbon. The whole panel is attached to scored and folded Cherry Cobbler card.
I stamped the greeting from the First Frost stamp set onto Whisper White card using Cherry Cobbler ink. The greeting is cut out using the Layering Ovals Dies and attached to a Cherry Cobbler scalloped oval cut using the same dies. The greeting is attached to the card front using dimensionals. I tied a bow in another length of the Gold 3/8″ Metallic Edge Ribbon and attached it to the greeting panel using a Mini Glue Dot.
To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped “merry Christmas” from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set onto Whisper White card using Cherry Cobbler ink.
Since I had two pieces of Designer Series Paper, I created another card in exactly the same manner using Mossy Meadow ink and card as well as Silver 3/8″ Metallic Edge Ribbon.
I think they turned out really lovely, don’t you?
Bye for now,
Kris
