Saying Goodbye

March 5, 2020

My friend and neighbour has sold her house and is moving to Tamworth.  She loves to craft and is one of my class regulars.  I will miss her very much, but hope that her new endeavours in Tamworth bring her and her husband much joy.  Anyway, I cased a card I found on Pinterest by Wendy Lee to create the front of my going away card.  I stamped Basic Black card using the tree image from the Power of Hope stamp set using Versamark ink.  I sprinkled it with clear embossing power and heat set it.  The embossed panel is attached to scored and folded Basic Black card. I embossed a piece of Whisper White card using the Stone 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to the right hand side of the card front. I stamped the pagoda image from the Power of Hope stamp set onto Whisper White card using Versamark ink. I also stamped the greeting from the same stamp set beneath the pagoda image using the same ink.  I sprinkled the stamped image and greeting with the Shimmer Black Embossing Powder and heat set it.  This is the first time i have used this embossing power and I love the sparkle it gives your images. I attached the stamped panel to Vellum cardstock using dimensionals and then the card front.

To decorate the inside of the card, I embossed Whisper White card using the Stone 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to the section above the Pop and Twist. I also attached Whisper White card below the Pop and Twist so that I could write my message. For the first panel on my Pop and Twist, I stamped the lady image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White card.  I also stamped the lantern image 3 times using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I stamped the lady image onto a piece of the Lily Designer Series Paper and cut out the kimono.  I attached the cut piece onto the stamped image.  I coloured the rest of the images using Light Flirty Flamingo, Ivory and Bronze Stampin’ Blends.  The stings for the lanterns were drawn using the 0.5 Journaling Pen.  The panel is attached to Silver Foil and then the Pop and Twist mechanism. The next panel has the tree image from the Power of Hope stamp set stamped onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I also stamped a greeting from the First Frost stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I added colour to the tree using the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  This panel is attached to Silver Foil and then the Pop and Twist mechanism.  For the third panel I stamped the Pagoda image from the Power of Hope stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added some colour using a Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend.  This panel is also attached to Silver Foil and then the Pop and Twist mechanism.  For the last panel I stamped the lantern image from the Power of Hope stamp set onto Whisper White card three times using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.   I coloured the images using a Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend.  I drew the strings onto the lanterns using the 0.5 Journaling Pen.  Once more this panel is attached to Silver Foil and then the Pop and Twist mechanism.

I love these type of fancy folds and I love this stamp set.  Don’t forget that the Power of Hope stamp set and the Stone 3D embossing Folder is a bundle which you can earn for FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration.

Bye for now,

Kris
