Lets Celebrate Sunflowers

This is another card, I shared in this week’s Facebook Live, but thought I would share it here, because some of you don’t do Facebook. This card is what I would call suitable for an Avid Stamper! I embossed Whisper White card using the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder, before attaching a piece of the Flowers For Every Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper across the bottom. I wrapped the top of the Designer Series Paper using the Bumblebee 1/2″ Ribbon and attached the panel to scored and folded Misty Moonlight card. I cut Whisper White card using the Stitched Shapes Dies and Misty Moonlight card using the Layering Squares Dies. I attached the Whisper White die to the Misty Moonlight die and then the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the flower from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set onto Whisper White card using Saddle Brown Stazon ink. I coloured the image using dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Just Jade and Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I cut out the image using the co-ordinating Sunflower Die and attached it to the Whisper White die cut. I punched one end of a strip of 3/4″ wide Whisper White card using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. I stamped the greeting from the Celebrate Sunflower stamp set using Misty Moonlight ink. I used the piece I trimmed with the first punch, to mark where I needed to cut the end of the die and then punched the remaining end using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
By doing this, you make sure that your greeting is placed perfectly in the centre of the panel. The greeting is attached to the card front using dimensionals.
To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the greeting from the Celebrate Sunflower stamp set using Misty Moonlight ink. I also attached a narrow strip of the same pattern of Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper across the bottom of the stamped card.
I love the way the Saddle Brown Stazon ink kind of disappears when you are using Blends to colour in. Sometimes when you use Memento Tuxedo Black ink it is a little harsh on your coloured images. I’d love to know what you think.
Bye for now,
Kris
