Good Things

I used a tutorial I purchased from Create with Connie and Mary to create today’s card. However, I did change out the Designer Series Paper and the stamp set used for the focal image. So you could say that I used the tutorial for inspiration and the layout. I began by stamping the greeting from the Tasteful Textures stamp set onto the bottom right hand corner of Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink. I stamped the square background image from the Tasteful Textures stamp set across the top right hand side of the stamped Whisper White card using Mint Macaron ink. I embossed the top half of the stamped Whisper White card using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I attached a strip of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper across the Whisper White card so that it sits just above the greeting. I also attached a very narrow strip of Gold Foil card at the top of the Designer Series Paper. The whole panel is attached to scored and folded Mint Macaron card. I stamped the flower from the Tasteful Textures stamp set onto Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink. I added some colour to the flower by using the Light Night of Navy and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends before cutting out the flower. I stamped the leaf image from the Tasteful Textures stamp set onto Whisper White card using Mint Macaron ink and fussy cut the images. I also die cut two leaves from Night of Navy card using the Detailed Bands Dies, as well as two leaves from Gold Foil using the same dies. I layered the leaves and the flower together and attached them to the right hand side of the card front.
To decorate the inside of the card, I attached a narrow strip of the same In Good Taste Designer Series Paper across the bottom of Whisper White card. I attached a narrow strip of Gold Foil card above the Designer Series Paper. I stamped the flower from the Tasteful Textures stamp set onto the left hand side of the card, above the Designer Series Paper. I covered the stamped image with a post-it-note mask and stamped the leaf image from the Tasteful Textures stamp set using Mint Macaron ink. I removed the mask and coloured the flower using the Light Night of Navy and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
This card is so pretty! The images in the Tasteful Textures stamp set are really lovely but they are so generic that they will co-ordinate with many other products in the annual catalogue. I cant wait to see how many!
Bye for now,
Kris
