Case the Catalogue

June 29, 2020

Today’s card is a CASE of a card example on Page 19 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.  I began by stamping onto the top left and bottom right corner of the front of a Petal Pink card base using Petal Pink ink.  I embossed a piece of So Saffron card using the Tasteful Textures 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to the card front.  I stamped the flower from the Tasteful Touches stamp set onto Whisper White card using Petal Pink ink. I coloured the flower using the Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend.  Maybe I am a bit late to the party with this idea, but it suddenly dawned on me that all our ink pads are water based and therefore you can stamp in any colour ink and then use the blends to colour the image!  I cut out the flower by hand.  I cut leaves from Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz card using the Poppy Moments Dies. I also cut Soft Suede card twice using one of the leave dies from the Natures Thoughts Dies. I attached the Pear Pizzazz leaf on top of the Old Olive leaf and layered the leaves and flower together before attached to the top left hand corner of the embossed So Saffron card.  I stamped the greeting from the Peaceful Moments stamp set onto Whisper White card using Petal Pink ink and cut it out using the die from the Painted Labels Dies.  I attached the greeting to the card front using dimensionals. I cut one more leaf from Soft Suede card using the Natures Thoughts Dies and attached it underneath the lower right hand corner of the greeting.

To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the flower from the Tasteful Touches stamp set onto the lower left hand corner of Whisper White card using Petal Pink ink and coloured the image using the Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend.

Bye for now,

Kris
