Calming Birthday

For my card today I used the very beautiful Calming Camellia stamp set which has now retired, but which you could earn for free during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying order. Although it is now retired, I thought you might like to see this birthday card I created using this absolutely beautiful Camellia image. I embossed Basic White card using the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder and attached it to scored and folded Gorgeous Grape card. I stamped the large floral image from the Calming Camellia stamp set onto Highland Heather card using Gorgeous Grape ink.

I used a White Watercolour Pencil to colour only the flowers on the image. I cut out the image using the largest circle from the Layering Circle Dies, attached it to a Gorgeous Grape scalloped circle cut using the same dies and then the card front. I stamped “happy birthday” from the Peaceful Moments stamp set onto Basic White card using Gorgeous Grape ink. I punched out the greeting using the Double Oval Punch.

I attached the greeting to a Gorgeous Grape scalloped oval cut using the same Punch and then the card front using dimensionals where necessary. To decorate the inside of the card, I attached a narrow strip of Gorgeous Grape card behind on long edge of a narrow strip of Basic White card embossed using the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder. I stamped the greeting from the Peaceful Moments stamp set onto Basic White card using Gorgeous Grape ink before attaching the embossed panel across the bottom of the card.
I am truly happy with this card. So soft and pretty. I hope the friend I have made this card for loves it too.
Bye for now,
Kris
