March Birthday

Two of my granddaughters celebrate their birthdays during the month of March and today I am sharing the cards I made for them. I create a fancy fold which some call a Fancy W-V card. You can find lots of instructions online. I cut my card bases from Basic White card and used two different patterns from the Hues of Happiness 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to decorate them. Each of the decorative panels is cut using one of the dies from the Blossoming Happiness Dies before being attached to either Gorgeous Grape or Night of Navy card.

I attached flowers cut from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper to each of the panels on the cards.

For the Gorgeous Grape card the leaves were cut from the Designer Series Paper, however, for the Night of Navy card I cut the leaves from Mossy Meadow card using the Blossoming Happiness Die. I stamped “Happy Birthday” from the Happiness Abounds stamp set onto a narrow strip of Basic White card using either Gorgeous Grape or Night of Navy ink. I dipped the long edges into the co-ordinating ink before attaching the greetings to the card fronts using dimensionals. For the inside panel I stamped another greeting from the Happiness Abounds stamp set onto Basic White card using each of the inks. I also dipped the long edges into the co-ordinating inks. The greetings were attached to the panels before I attached the flowers and leaves.

I love both of these cards. They look different but each one is very pretty. I haven’t used this collection in a while and I am not sure why, it is so gorgeous, especially the paper.
Bye for now,
Kris
