Sale-a-Bration Sneak Peak
Today I thought I would share a card I made using the Avant Garden stamp set which will be Free with a qualifying order during the Sale-A-Bration period from 4th January to 31st March. The stamp set contains three greetings and seven images of flowers and leaves and also a background stamp. I stamped the flower stem image onto Shimmer Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then used my Watercolour Pencils and Blender Pen to add Real Red to the flowers and Old Olive to the leaves and stem. Can you tell I am loving these Watercolour Pencils? I always think that I am not the “colour in” type, but I have been searching through my stamp sets and looking for sets that contain images I can colour in just to use these Watercolour Pencils.
Anyway, once the image was coloured I attached the image panel to Old Olive card and then Whisper White. The Whisper White panel is attached to scored and folded Real Red card. 
I attached a strip of Whisper White Mini Pompom Trim to the back of a piece of the Sending Love Designer Series Paper (from the Occasions Catalogue) and attached it to the card front, covering the lower part of the flower stem. I ran some Fast Fuse onto the Designer Series Paper and attached a length of Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon. I stamped the greeting from the Avant Garden stamp set onto Whisper White card using memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out using an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies. I attached the greeting to an Old Olive scalloped oval cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies and then to the card front using Mini Glue Dots.
Can you tell this is the same layout as the card I made for the Stampin Gals Gone Wild challenge recently. I love the sketch and thought it work well for this card too.
Now that Christmas is almost here and most of my shopping, wrapping and cooking is done, I might get a chance to create some more with the new products that I purchased on the demonstrator pre-order.

Grandchildren’s Christmas Cards
I like to create something special for my grandchildren’s Christmas cards each year. This year I decided to do a Waterfall card. I haven’t done one of these in ages and if you want some instructions look no further than Splitcoaststampers. It is fairly easy to make.
Once again I have used the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper to create my cards. I attached the Designer Series paper to Whisper White card. Then I added the cross bar of Whisper White and used the retired Antique Brads to attach it to the Whisper White card. Next I attached the waterfall piece in the centre of the cross bar. 
The whole piece is attached to scored and folded Early Espresso card. There are four little panels which are attached to the waterfall. I stamped “Merriest wishes” from the Merriest Wishes stamp set (this stamp set is also on the Year End Closeout sale at a reduced price) onto the lower right hand corner of one of the Whisper White cards using Early Espresso ink. The four Whisper White panels are embossed using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. I attached the embossed card to Early Espresso card and then they are attached to the waterfall. 
The lowest panel – in my case the one with the greeting is attached to the lowest part of the waterfall and then the other three cards were attached. To decorate the top panel, I cut the little gingerbreadman from the Designer Series Paper and attached him using Tombow Multipurpose Glue. I added a little candy cane which I stamped onto Whisper White card using the image from the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set using Real red ink and hand cut. The second panel has the little mittens attached. 
Once more these are hand cut from the Designer Series Paper and attached using the Tombow Glue. The third panel has a little star and the fourth panel has the Christmas Tree, also hand cut from the Designer Series Paper.
To decorate the inside of the card I attached a narrow strip of Early Espresso card behind one long edge of Designer Series Paper and attached it to Whisper White card.
Since I have six grandchildren, four girls and two boys, I made six of these cards. However, I used the Crumb Cake Designer Series Paper from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper on the boys cards.
The little tassels at the bottom of the Waterfall were made using the Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine. This Twine is so pretty. The Whisper White Twine has a red metallic thread running through it which makes it really sparkle. The twine is on the Year End closeout sale at a reduced price. 
I love these cards and fortunately so did my grandchildren. I’d love to hear what you think.

Christmas Double Z-Fold
Thought I would pop in and share with you the card I made for my daughters and their families this year. I had some die cut pieces left over from the Framed Art piece that we made at the All Day Class and so I thought I would use them up on these Christmas cards.
I sponged Soft Sky and Night of Navy ink around the edges of the Soft Sky card. I stamped the starry image from the Star of Light stamp set using Night of Navy ink and attached the pieces to the scored and folded Night of Navy card. 
The trees from the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set are stamped with Wild Wasabi ink onto Wild Wasabi card and cut out using the matching die from the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlit Dies. I attached a few stars cut from Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper using the Starlight Thinlits Dies. I embossed Very Vanilla card using the Seaside Embossing Folder and attached them to the scored and folded Night of Navy card. The panel was then attached to the card base. The sleigh pieces were cut from Basic Black card and Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper using the Santa Sleigh Thinlit Dies and attached to the left hand side of the Very Vanilla card. 
The reindeer from the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set were stamped on Crumb Cake card using Soft Suede ink and then cut out using the matching dies. The reindeer are placed across the Very Vanilla card. The bows are cut from Real Red ink using the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlit Dies. I have attached a Very Vanilla panel to the back of the card to add my message. I love these Z-Fold cards, don’t you.

SUO Challenge and a Sneak Peak
Ok I’m still on a roll, posting just about every day with a new project for your enjoyment and mine. Today’s card was made to meet the criteria for the Stampin’ Up! Only challenge. All you had to do was use a shape, oval, square or round. I chose round.
I embossed Whisper White card using the Brick Wall Embossing Folder and attached it to scored and folded Basic Gray card. I stamped the image from the Mediterranean Moments stamp set onto Shimmery White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. 
I coloured parts of the image using the Bermuda Bay, Old Olive and Basic Gray Watercolour Pencils (Oh My, you guys are going to love these) as well as a Blender Pen. . I cut the image using the largest circle in the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. I attached the image to a scalloped circle of Basic Gray card cut using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. I attached the image to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped “just sitting here thinking of you” from the Sitting Here stamp set onto Whisper White card using Basic Gray ink. 
I punched the ends using the Triple Banner Punch, attached it to Basic Gray card and snipped the ends to match. The banner has dimensionals under each end to attach it slightly over the image panel.
To decorate the inside I attached a narrow strip of Basic Gray card behind one long edge of Whisper White card embossed using the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. The embossed panel is attached to Whisper White card.
When I received my Occasions Catalogue at Onstage Live earlier this year, I didn’t look twice at the Mediterranean Moments stamp set. However, after seeing all the beautiful samples shown on stage and also on the boards I was hooked. I am happy to report that I am not disappointed with my first effort. What do you think? Gift Tags
What present is complete without a beautiful Gift Tag created by Nan. I love wrapping the Christmas presents and putting them under the tree. The grandchildren, love to pick them up and oh and ah over what might be in it. They get especially excited when they find one that is just for them.
Anyway, as you know I hand cut the images from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper for the gift bags I made for my customers and I had a few left over so I put them to good use. I punched one side of a 10 x 10cm square of Whisper White card using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and then ran them through the big shot with one of the largest Layering Circle Dies. 
The resulting tag was embossed using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and then I attached one of the cute little houses I had already hand cut. I cut another tag shape from Whisper White but this time I stamped with a greeting and “to/from” from the Candy Cane Christmas stamp Set using Early Espresso ink. I cut Real Red card using the largest scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. The Real Red scalloped circle is sandwiched between the two Whisper White tags. I did have to trim some of the Real Red scalloped circle so that it wouldn’t cover the slot for the ribbon. 
I used the brown paper that Stampin’ Up! supplies with all my orders to wrap the presents. The tags are attached using curling ribbon. I think they look cute, don’t you.
Unfortunately the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper has already sold out. It was on a while stocks last basis, so I am sorry if you missed out. The Candy Cane Christmas stamp set is on the Year End closeout sale at a reduced price. So if you want this stamp set (believe me you do) then you need to order it right away as these products are on a while stocks last basis as well. I guess the best way to make sure you never miss out is order anything that you want from a catalogue right away.

Another Challenge card
Today’s card is one that I made using the sketch from the weekly challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. It is a simple one, given the time of year and that everyone is quite busy. I started by embossing Whisper White card using the Cable Knit Embossing Folder which I attached to scored and folded Crumb Cake card. I stamped the image from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set using my Bermuda Bay Ombre Pad (the first time I have used it and I must say I do love it). I added a little Early Espresso to the tree trunk using my Stampin’ Write Marker. 
I stamped the greeting from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set using Crumb Cake ink. I attached the stamped card to Crumb Cake card and added a strip of Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper (unfortunately I think this one is now no longer available, hope you got yours before it ran out!) below the greeting. The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals.
To decorate the inside, I simply added another strip of the Designer Series Paper to Whisper White card.

And now I am going to let you in on a little secret. You are probably wondering why I used Bermuda Bay ink for the tree. Good question. Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild
I’ve been trying to post to my blog consistently every day over the last couple of weeks. My upline Stephanie issued a challenge to her team to try to be more consistent in our blogging. So what I want to know is – Are you happy that I am blogging more and sharing more projects with you?
In an effort to keep the projects coming I decided to join Connie Stewart’s weekend challenge. She shares a challenge on her blog to everyone to use over the weekend. Once you have created your project you post it to her Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Facebook page. This is a closed group, so you will need to make a request to join.
I don’t know about you but I am just about done making my Christmas cards and I don’t want to get you too excited about the new Occasions Catalogue so I decided to use the Sprinkles of Life stamp set to create my card.
I embossed Whisper White card using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder, with the heaviest embossing at the top of the card. I attached the embossed card to scored and folded Basic Black card. I stamped the ice-cream base from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set onto Whisper White card using Crumb Cake ink and added the ice-cream using Melon Mambo ink. I added a little of the Fine-Tip Glue to the areas on the ice-cream image which indicated shadow and then sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter. Once the glue was dry I attached the stamped card to Basic Black card and then the card front. I attached a piece of the gold embossed designer series paper from the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper to Basic Black card and then the card front. 
I cut one short end of a length of Basic Black card using the Triple Banner Punch and attached it to the designer series paper. I stamped the greeting from the Suite Sayings stamp set onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuexdo Black ink and cut it out using one of the oval Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies. (These dies are getting closer to being available for order. I will be sure to let you know as soon as they are.) I attached the greeting to a Melon Mambo scalloped oval cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies and then the card front using dimensionals.
To decorate the inside of the card I added a narrow strip of Basic Black card to one long edge of a piece of the same Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper before attaching to Whisper White card.

Christmas Card Gifts
I said I would pop back and share with you the card sets that I made to go in my customers Christmas Gift Bags. Each of the cards is created using the Whisper White notecards, which come with matching envelopes.
I found the instructions and the layouts for each of these cards on Pinterest. So lets start with the little box which was shared here by Dawn Griffin. I loved the paper which she used and since I still had some It’s My Party Designer Series Paper (retired) in my stash I used the same paper to create each of my boxes. I created the first box using the same Melon Mambo Designer Series Paper and Melon Mambo and Whisper White card. 
I went on to create boxes using Mint Macaron and Whisper White card, with Mint Macaron Designer Series Paper, Sahara Sand & Whisper White card with the Confetti Designer Series paper and the last one is Crushed Curry and Whisper White with the Basic Black/Balloon Designer Series Paper. I create four cards to go inside each of the box using all of the Designer Series Paper as the boxes.
The first card has the same banner as Dawns card but I used a different greeting. The end of the Designer Series paper is punched using the Triple Banner Punch. 
I stamped the greeting from the Balloon Adventures stamp set (from the Occasions Catalogue to be released on the 4th January) onto Whisper White card using Melon Mambo ink and cut out the greeting using the oval Stitched Framelit Die. I attached it to Sahara Sand card cut using a scalloped die from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. The greeting is attached to the card front using dimensionals.
The second card is created using the layout found on this video on Pinterest, once again by Dawn Griffin. I used the same Mint Macaron Designer Series Paper but again I used a different greeting. The greeting from the Balloon Adventures stamp set is stamped onto Whisper White card using Mint Macaron ink and cut out using the square Stitched Framelit Die. The greeting is attached to a Mint Macaron scalloped square framelit from the Layering Squares Dies and then the card front using dimensionals.
The third card comes from a Video on Pinterest by Angie Juda . Once again I have used the same Designer Series paper but a different greeting. This greeting from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set is stamped onto Whisper White using Sahara Sand ink and cut out using a circle Stitched Framelit Die. The greeting is attached to a Sahara Sand circle scalloped cut out using the Layering Circles Dies and then the card front using dimensionals.
The last card for the set was inspired by this Christmas Card I found on Pinterest by Jo Blackman. I used another of the papers from the same retired Designer Series Paper to cover the lower half of the card front. I stamped the greeting from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set onto Whisper White card using Crushed Curry in and cut it out using a circle Stitched Framelit Die. I stamped the balloon from the Confetti Celebration stamp set next to the greeting using Sahara Sand ink. The greeting is attached to a Crushed Curry scalloped circle cut using the Layering Circles Dies and then the card front using dimensionals.
I love the way these cards turned out and so did the ladies. Thank you to each of these talented crafters for the ideas and inspiration for my card set. I think I will have to use more of my Designer Series Paper to create these notecard sets in the future. Happy Birthday Abigail
Today is my eldest granddaughter’s 12th birthday. My, oh my, how quickly she is growing up. She finished primary school this year and is off to high school next year! Anyway we were lucky enough to be away in the caravan with Abigail and her brother and sister for a couple of days at the beach – lots of surfing and fishing. So much fun, but we had to come home today so she could celebrate with her Mum and Dad.
I have been dying to use the Beautiful You stamp set which I got on pre-order from the Occasions Catalogue, so had to create a birthday card for Abigail using the set.
I attached Smoky Slate Designer Series Paper from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack to Whisper White card. 
I wrapped the join using Silver 5/8″ Satin Ribbon and tied a knot. I stamped the greeting from the Beautiful You stamp set onto the top right hand corner using Rich Razzleberry ink. The Whisper White card is then attached to scored and folded Rich Razzleberry card. I stamped the image from the Beautiful You stamp set onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it using the gorgeous new Watercolour Pencils, also from the Occasions Catalogue. I found on Whisper White card that I coloured the image lightly using the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Watercolour Pencils and used the Blender Pen to move the ink around slightly to create a more even look. I used the Layering Square Framelit Dies to cut out the image and attached it to a Rich Razzleberry Scalloped Square, cut using the same dies. The image panel is attached to the card front using dimensionals.
Inside the card I added a narrow strip of Rich Razzleberry card behind one long edge of a piece of the same Smoky Slate Designer Series Paper and attached it to Whisper White card.
Once I had finished this card, I decided to try colouring the image on Shimmer White card. This time I used the Rich Razzleberry and Basic Gray Watercolour Pencils and a Blender Pen to colour the image. I made the card in exactly the same manner.
Now, of course, I had to try using Watercolour Paper. So I stamped the image onto the Watercolour Paper using Stazon Jet Black ink. I coloured the image with the Rich Razzleberry and Basic Gray Watercolour Pencils and this time used an Aqua Painter. Once again the card is finished in exactly the same manner.
Which image do you like the best? I was torn when choosing which card to give Abigail but finally decided on the first card I made using the Whisper White card. Although, I must admit I do love depth of colour on the Shimmer White card and the lovely soft image created with the Aqua Painter on Watercolour paper.
I think this stamp set is going to be a favourite of mine and I believe lot’s of you as well.

Christmas Celebration
Last weekend I held my Christmas Party to thank my very loyal customers and friends who support my classes at home and purchase from my store. It is always lovely to be able to spend time with these ladies and celebrate another successful year. I like to give them some gifts which I have made for them to show my appreciation.
I buy blank bags and decorate them all the same. This year I stamped the greeting from the Greetings From Santa stamp set onto Whisper White card using Early Espresso ink. I embossed the stamped card using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. I attached the embossed card to Early Espresso card and then the bag front. I created a little tag which has a little panel of Whisper White card embossed using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder, attached to Early Espresso card. I punched the top of the tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. The “to” stamped in Early Espresso comes from the Crazy About You stamp set. I stamped the christmas tree from the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set onto Whisper White card using Crumb Cake ink, cut them out and attached them to the tag. I tied the tags to the bag using Stitched Satin Ribbon, some Real Red, some Very Vanilla. The bags were filled with homemade goodies, Peppermint Body scrub, Italian Herb Mix, Rocky Road and a Chocolate slider. As well as these goodies, I made a set of four birthday notecards in a little cover. I will pop back soon with the instructions for the notecards.
We had a wonderful day and I believe everyone enjoyed themselves. I look forward to catching up with all of these lovely ladies again in the New Year.
