My New Display Board
I have needed a small display board that is light and portable for a long time and finally got around to making one. I bought a canvas from one of the $2.00 shops and covered it with the Twitterpated Designer Fabric which is being released on the 1st April in the Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue. The fabric is really pretty and pink, very girly. Along with this gorgeous fabric we are also getting some beautiful pleated 3/8″ Satin Ribbon. The ribbon comes in four colours – Pear Pizzazz, Ridinghood Red, Blushing Bride and Baja Breeze – which match the colours in the fabric. So I used this ribbon to decorate the board as well.
I used various other ribbons available in the Idea Book and Catalogue to tie bows onto the intersections of the Satin Ribbon. I also covered some buttons with some of the Twitterpated Designer Fabric and also the Timeless Portrait Fabric. I attached these to the Satin Ribbon intersections using Whisper Whtie Bakers Twine. I also used Whiser White Bakers Twine to add a few other buttons at various intersections. I bought some mini wooden clothes pegs and decorated them using the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper so that I could add cards to the board.
I also attached a couple of flowers that I had previously made from the Timesless Portrait Fabric.
I think it turned out lovely and now I have a great way to show off lots of product as well as a few projects. What do you think?

Beachmere Classes
Yesterday I had my first class a a Retirement Resort at Beachmere. I spent a lovely morning with Cindy, Meg, Sandra and Josie (I think I got all the names right). Since it was my first class with these ladies and I wasn’t sure how many ladies would be there, I decided to make the same card but step it up a little each time.
Our first card was a single layer card. We used the flower image from the Upsy Daisy stamp set and the greeting of their choice from the Sincere Salutations stamp set.
Our second card stepped it up a little by punching the greeting and added the Scalloped Oval behind the punched greeting.
On our third card we stamped the image onto a separate piece of Whisper White card stock and added a mat of Poppy Parade. The greeting was again stamped and punched out and added using dimensionals.
We had a lovely time learning to use the stamp-a-ma-jig and getting lots of ink on ourselves. I am looking forward to seeing these ladies every week for at least the next 3 weeks.

Sunny Challenge 32
Its the beginning of another challenge at Sunny Challenges and Creations and this week our sketch comes to us from Vicky. As well as using the sketch we are to use Designer Series Paper.
I couldn’t help myself and again reached for the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series paper when making this card. I attached a layer of Very Vanilla card stock to scored and folded Soft Suede card stock. I punched a strip of Soft Suede card stock using the Lace Ribbon Border Punch, attached it behind a piece of Poppy Parade Designer Series Paper and then to the card front. I attached two different patterns from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series paper to Soft Suede. I stamped the stem from Field Flowers stamp set onto Very Vanilla card stock using Lucky Limeade ink. 
The small flower was stamped onto the image panel using Calypso Coral ink. I did stamp the small solid flower onto scrap paper first to give a lighter impression. The image panel was also attached to Soft Suede card stock. I attached the image panel to the two designer series panels and then wrapped with Lucky Limeade 1/8″ Organdy Ribbon. I added an Everyday Enchantment Printed Designer Brad over the ribbon and then this whole piece was attached to the card front. I stamped the large solid flower onto scrap Very Vanilla card stock, making sure that the solid image was stamped onto scrap paper first to give a lighter impression. I image was cut out and attached to the image panel using SNAIL. I cut Poppy Parade card stock using the Beautiful Butterflies Embosslit and attached one of the butterflies to the card front using dimensionals under the wings and a Mini Glue Dot in the centre of the body.
I truly love how easily you can create a gorgeous card using different pieces of designer paper from the same pack.

Another Christmas photo scrapped
This is the fourth of the six photos that I took down from my wall at Christmas so that I could put up new ones.
I punched the long edge of a strip of Basic Black card stock using the Scallop Trim Border Punch and placed it behind a piece of Rich Razzleberry Designer Series Paper From the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack. This piece is attached to the left hand side of 12 x 12″ Whisper White card stock. I matted the photo using Basic Black card stock . I printed the details on the computer and then cut them out using one of the new Framelits Labels Collection Dies. I added a Basic Black mat cut with a larger Framelits Labels Collection Die, attached this piece behind the photo and then to the page over the top of the Designer Paper.
I cut Old Olive card stock using the Little Leaves Sizzlit so that I could make a long spray of flowers to go around the photo. I punched Rich Razzleberry card stock using the new Blossom Punch and separated the layers. I punched Whisper White card stock using the 5 Petal Flower Punch, separated the layers and sponged Rich Razzleberry ink onto the edges of the separated pieces. I also cut Rich Razzleberry card stock and Whisper White card stock using the Boho Blossoms Punch. These flowers were also separated and the Whisper White ones sponges with Rich Razzleberry ink. The large flowers were assembled with a Basic Black Flower Brad and the others using Clear Rhinestone Brads. I used snail to attach the leaves and then Mini Glue Dots to attach the flowers over the top.
I love the way the flowers frame Jae’s gorgeous face. I’d love to hear what you think.

Double Challenge Birthday
I liked the look of the colour challenge at Just Add Ink this week and teamed it with the sketch challenge at Stamping 411.
I stamped onto Pool Party card stock using Pool Party ink using the largest image from the Extreme Elements stamp set. I wrapped it with Early Expresso 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon and attached it to scored and folded Early Expresso card stock. I stamped “happy birthday” from the Elementary Elegance (Sale-A-Bration) stamp set using Early Expresso ink in the bottom right hand corner. I attached a piece of Island Indigo card stock to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped four of the images from the Extreme Elements stamp set onto Whisper White card using Pool Party, Island Indigo and Early Expresso (which I stamped off once onto scrap paper first) ink. I stamped the image from the Need for Speed stampset using Early Expresso ink onto Whisper White card stock and cut it out. 
I used a blender pen to pick up ink from inside the lid of the Early Expresso ink pad and lightly coloured the car and attached it to the stamped Whisper White card stock. I added an Early Expresso mat which has one edge punched using the Scallop Border Punch to the image panel and then attached it to the Island Indigo panel.
Pretty simple. I’d love to know what you think?

A great new site
I just had to share some really exciting news with you all. My downline and friend Shirley has just launched her own Etsy Store. Shirley makes the most amazing earrings and hair decorations, a lot of which use Stampin’ Up! brads. The earrings and hair pins you see here were a birthday gift to me earlier this year but I wasn’t able to share until now. Challenge 9 at Craft Project Central
I just love the challenges at Craft Project Central. The sketches are fun and you can enter as many times as you wish during the month and the really fabulous thing is each month you have the chance to win a free monthly subscription. I entered the challenge last month and won this month’s edition free.
Anyway doing this sketch challenge also gave me the chance to play with some of the fantastic product which I pre-ordered from the Autum-Winter Mini which is being released on the 1st April. I can’t wait to share with you some of this exciting new product.
My card starts with a base of Not Quite Navy and I have added a layer of Whisper White which is embossed on the bottom using one of the new Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. There are three folders in this set, two of which match the new Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies and the one I used which has tiny hearts. I added a strip of Rose Red card stock which is punched on both long edges using the Scallop Trim Border punch and also wrapped with Whisper White 5/8″ Organdy Ribbon before attaching it to the Whisper White embossed card stock. 
I cut the edge on the River Rock card stock using the Adorning Accent Edgelit Die, added a layer of Not Quite Navy Card and embossed the whole piece using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I also wrapped this piece with the Whisper White 5/8″ Organdy Ribbon before attaching it to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the image from the Apothecary Art stampset onto Whisper White card stock using Stazon Jet Black ink. I coloured the image using Rose Red and River Rock Stampin’ Write Markers and a blender pen. Once the image was coloured I cut it using the new Labels Collections Framelits Dies. These Dies come as a set of six different sizes. I stamped the image again onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock and then stamped the greeting from another new stamp set called Loving Thoughts using my Stamp-a-ma-jig and Stazon Jet Black ink. I cut the greeting out and attached it to the coloured image. The image panel is also attached to the card front using dimensionals. Lastly I tied a bow in Whisper White 5/8″ Organdy Ribbon using the bow stand that my son-in-law made for me and attached it to the card front using a Mini Glue Dot.

Sunny Challenge 31
This week at Sunny Challenges and Creations I have set a sketch and technique challenge. I thought I should dust off my Pastels and try a little Chalkboarding. This is really quite a simple technique. You just need to stamp onto dark card stock using White or Vanilla craft ink. Then you use a sponge dauber or the little sponges that are supplied in the Stampin’ Pastels and add colour to the craft ink.
I cut the largest oval on the Ovals Originals Die from Basic Black card stock. I stamped onto the oval using Whisper White ink and the images from the Cottage Garden stampset. I coloured the largest flower using Rich Razzleberry chalk, the stem using Old Olive chalk and the small flowers using Real Red Chalk from my Stampin’ Pastels. I set this piece aside for a while to let the Craft ink dry and then used a tissue to remove the any excess chalk. I cut a strip the length of Old Olive card stock and punched one long edge using the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I snipped the long unpunched edge, added Snail to the back of the oval and attached the punched piece around the edge to create a frame. I cut two pieces of Rich Razzleberry Designer Paper from the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack. I wrapped a large Rhinestone Brad around a length of Old Olive 5/8″ Satin Ribbon and then attached the ends of the ribbon to the back of one of the pieces of Designer Series Paper. 
I pierced three holes using my Mat Pack and Paper Piercer on the other piece of Designer paper and inserted three small Rhinestone Brads. The two pieces of Designer Paper were then attached to a piece of Whisper White card stock and then to scored and folded Old Olive card stock. Lastly I attached my image panel to the card front using dimensionals.

Year of Cards Gift Box
I got this tutorial designed by Amanda Corbett from the February 2012 Edition at Craft Project Central and finally had a chance to play. Part of the reason I hadn’t made the tutorial is that the Labels Collection Framelits Dies were unavailable in Australia. However, being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I was able to pre-order these Dies which will be available for purchase when the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue comes out on the 1st April. So this box is the first project I completed once my pre-order arrived.
The box is really quite large 7-1/4″ x 6-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ so although it is designed to hold portfolios which work as a card organiser for the year, it would hold quite a large gift for a birthday or other celebration. Of course it uses the very beautiful Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper which is available during Sale-A-Bration.
I haven’t completed all the portfolios yet, but it is quite an ingenious design. The portfolio opens to have a pocket on each side which has a tag on the front to record the birthday’s, anniversaries etc. and of course the cards can be stored in the pockets. You can see the one that I have partly completed in this photo.
Can you see the gorgeous new Labels Collection Framelits Die. These are the largest and second largest dies in the set. You actually get six dies altogether. I just love them.
