Happy Anniversary
My Mum and Dad celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary recently and today I thought I would share the card I made for them. I was inspired by one I saw on a Demonstrator only Facebook page shared by Janet Morrow Wakeland. Janet’s card was a slimline card but mine is just a standard size. I embossed Basic White card using the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder. I attached a piece of now retired Designer Series paper across the bottom of the embossed panel before attaching the whole panel to scored and folded Basic Black card. I die cut the large floral image from Basic Black card using the Magnolia Mood Dies.

I also die cut two small leaves using the Magnolia Mood Dies also from Basic Black card. I attached all of the die cut images to the card front. I stamped the large floral image from the Magnolia Mood stamp set onto Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The image is cut out using the co-ordinating Magnolia Mood Die. I attached the stamped image to the card front over the die cut images using dimensionals.

I stamped “happy anniversary” from the Sweetly Scripted stamp set onto a narrow strip of Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I attached the greeting to a piece of Basic Black card before attaching the panel across the bottom of the card front. I also added some Basic Rhinestones to give a little bling. To decorate the inside of the card I attached a narrow strip of the same designer series paper across the bottom of Basic White card. I stamped the small the small floral image from the Magnolia Mood stamp set onto Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out using the co-ordinating Magnolia Mood Die. I attached the flower to the lower left hand corner of the Basic White card tucking the ends underneath the Designer Series Paper. I love this stamp set and I am so happy for the inspiration from Janet – Thank you. Mum and Dad loved it too.

I cut Basic Black card using the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I attach three photos to Basic Black card and attached the panel across the top of the page. Before really adhering the panel, I laid down the last photo so that I could attached the Basic Black circle partially underneath the photos. I cut Basic White card using the largest banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies and used re-positional glue to attach it over the circle. I will print my journaling onto the banner later to completely finish the page. Lastly I cut Basic Black and Basic White card using the Wanted to Say Dies to create my title, which I attached above the left hand photo. I love how gorgeous this paper is and how easy it makes my memory keeping. I would love to know what you think.

Your Invited
Today I am sharing some invitations I created for my Mum & Dad’s 70th Wedding Anniversary celebration. I must say that I used the example in the Annual Catalogue as inspiration for the design. I stamped the border image from the Chantilly Lace stamp set across the top left hand and bottom right hand corners of Basic White card using Night of Navy ink.

I stamped “Your Invited” from the same stamp set between the border images using Night of Navy ink. I attached the stamped panel to Night of Navy card and then scored and folded Thick Basic White card.

I created the invitation on my computed and printed onto Basic White card. I stamped across the bottom of the invitation using the long border image from the Chantilly Lace stamp set using Night of Navy ink. The invitation panel is attached to a layer of Night of Navy card before attaching to the inside of the card base. I made 30 of these invitations and let me say that using a Stamp Positioner (I won’t name it but the one that Stampin’ Up! used to sell) made this job so easy.
