A Vintage Birthday
Deanna Tam shared a tutorial at Craft Project Central during September which featured the flowers from the Vintage Vogue stampset. They looked so pretty I wanted to add them to one of my own projects so I created this birthday card.
My base card is Bravo Burgundy card stock and I have added a layer of Pretty in Pink card stock and then a layer of Sahara Sand card stock which has been embossed using the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder. I cut the largest oval from the Ovals Originals Die from Whisper White card stock. I stamped the large flower from the Vintage Vogue stampset using Bravo Burgundy ink onto Whisper White card and cut the flower out. I stamped the small flower from the Vintage Vogue stampset onto Whisper White card stock using Pretty in Pink ink and cut them out. 
I’m not going to share how to make these gorgeous flowers with you – you will have to subscribe to September at Craft Project Central. I added Clear Rhinestone Brads to the centre of my flowers. I cut two sets of leaves using the Little Leaves Sizzlet from Certainly Celery card. I added the leaves to the oval and then stamped my greeting from the Sincere Salutations stampset using Bravo Burgundy ink onto the oval before attaching the oval to the card front using dimensionals. Finally I arranged the flowers over the leaves, attaching them using Mini Glue Dots.
I love the way this card turned out, and now I think it is time that I completed the whole of Deanna’s project.

A Christmas Tag
I decided to make a Christmas Tag using the sketch at Stamping 411 this week.
I had a Whisper White card stock tag lying on my desk and covered the top half with a piece of Old Olive Designer Paper from the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack. I ran a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock through the Big Shot using the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder to add the embossing to the bottom edge of the card stock. I also punched the top edge of the Cherry Cobbler cardstock using the Scallop Trim Border Punch. 
I ran a piece of Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, wrapped it with Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding (did I mention that this Seam Binding is devine) and then attached it to the tag over the Cherry Cobbler card stock. I stamped the image from the Tags Til Christmas stampset onto Whisper White card stock using Cherry Cobbler ink and cut the image using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. I attached the image to the tag over the Seam Binding using dimensionals. I punched a hole in the top of the tag using the Crop-a-Dile and tied it with Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding.

She has inspired me to try my hand at making more tags and this sketch offered the perfect opportunity.

French Foliage Folio Set
Here is another great project from Craft Project Central. I have always love this stampset but have never really used it, but with this tutorial I have the perfect way to show it off to advantage. Christmas Tree Pyramid Box and Card

SC 013/11
This week the sketch at Sunny Challenges and Creations has been provided by Gwen. It is a gorgeous sketch and we don’t have to add anything special at all. She has left us free to do what we want!!!
I started with a base card of Cherry Cobbler. I added a layer of Crumb Cake which I have embossed using the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder. I stamped the flower from the Creative Elements stampset onto Whisper White card stock using Cherry Cobbler ink. I stamped it twice more onto scraps of Whisper White card stock and cut out smaller sections for each one. I also stamped onto a post-it-note, cut it out and placed it over the first image. I stamped the large “filigree” image from the Creative Elements stampset onto the Whisper White card stock and over the Cherry Cobbler flower using Crumb Cake ink. I also sponged around the edges of this piece using Crumb Cake ink. I added a mat of Night of Navy card stock to the image panel and then attached it to the card front using dimensionals.
I removed the post-it note and added the smaller flower sections over the first image using dimensionals. I stamped “celebrate” from the Fabulous Phrases stampset onto Whisper White card stock using Cherry Cobbler ink and punched it out using the Word Window Punch. I attached it to a Modern Label punched from Cherry Cobbler card stock and used dimensionals to add it to the card front.
Ok now for more inspiration pop on over the Sunny Challenges and Creations and see what Gwen and Vicky have created for you. Once you have made your card pop back to Sunny Challenges and Creations and add it to Mr. Linky. It’s an easy one this week, no special stampset or folder or colour combo, just create whatever you want using this fantastic sketch.

A Pennant Christmas
Here is a card which we made at my last class. We made 4 cards and a cute envelope card holder.
My base card is scored and folded Pear Pizzazz card stock. I ran a piece of Very Vanilla card stock through the Big Shot using the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder but only embossing two-thirds of the pieces and attached it to the card front. I ran a strip of Poppy Parade card stock through the Big Shot using the Stripes Embossing Folder and attached it to the left hand side of the card front. I stamped the tree image from the Pennant Parade stampset onto Very Vanilla card stock and punched it out using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch. I stamped Merry Christmas from the Contempo Christmas stampset using Poppy Parade ink onto the embossed Very Vanilla cardstock, using my Stamp-a-ma-Jig and leaving plenty of room for my image panel.
I stamped the “pot” image from the Pennant Parade stampset onto Very Vanilla card stock using Chocolate Chip ink and cut it out. I attached the pot to a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and the tree image over the top using dimensionals. I attached the image panel to a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and attached it to the card front using dimensionals.
I think this is a really cute little Christmas Card and so easy to make. Love to hear what you think.

A Joyful Christmas Card
I made this card for a class which I held recently, however, it fits the sketch challenge at Sudsol this week as well.
I punched a strip of Very Vanilla card stock with the Lace Ribbon Border and attached it behind another piece of Very Vanilla card stock which has been embossed using the Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder. I wrapped the Very Vanilla card stock with Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding and tied a knot. This piece was then attached to scored and folded Cherry Cobbler card stock.
I stamped the image from the Season of Joy stampset onto Very Vanilla card stock using Cherry Cobbler ink and then added a layer of Always Artichoke card stock. This image panel was then attached to the card front using dimensionals.
This is a very simple Christmas card and one that is easy to reproduce. Sometimes less can be best. What do you think.

A cute treat box
This is a tutorial that was created by Andrea Lowcock and shared with members of the Christmas Edition of Inkspiration 4U. It is a cute little sweet treat box and easel card all in one.
I followed Andrea’s tutorial and decorated it exactly as she had done. I really love the way this has turned out. The colours are Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Early Expresso. The cute little rudolph sits in his own 3D window.
I am going shopping today to find some cute sweet treats to go in the box.
This is the first time I have used this ribbon treatment and I love how gorgeous it has turned out. Definitely something I will be doing again.
I think I am going to have to include one of these in my next gift giving class.

Technostamper Challenge 196
I love the sketch challenges at Technostamper and I had time to play along this week.
I punched a long strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border and attached it behind the long edge of a piece of Early Expresso card stock. I attached a piece of Cherry Cobbler striped designer paper from the Regals Patterns Designers Series Paper Stack to the Early Expresso card stock. I wrapped this piece with Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding and then attached the whole piece to scored and folded Whisper White card stock. 
I punched a 2 1/2″ circle from Whisper White card stock and embossed it with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I stamped one stocking from the Stitched Stockings stampset onto Whisper White card stock using Cherry Cobbler ink and another one using Old Olive ink. Both images were punched out using the Stocking Tag Punch. I attached the two stockings to the 2 1/2″ circle of Whisper White card stock and used dimensionals to attach it to the card front. I tied a bow from Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding and attached it above the stockings. I added a small Basic Rhinestone to the Old Olive stocking. I stamped “Merry Christmas” from the Season of Joy stampset onto the top right hand corner using Early Expresso ink (and my stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure it was straight).
I am actually in two minds as to whether or not I should have added the greeting. It looked kind of bare without it and now it looks kind of busy.

Sketch Challenge 4
Along with all the fabulous tutorials that are part of your subscription each month, Craft Project Central also has a sketch challenge. The challenge lasts for the whole month and you can enter as many times as you wish and there is a chance to win a free subscription to the month of your choice. WooHoo. Who doesn’t love to have something for nothing.
I embossed the Whisper White card stock using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and then added a layer of Pacific Point card stock which I embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder – the stripes run across the card. I embossed a piece of Old Olive card stock using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing Folder and attached it to a piece of Basic Black Cardstock which has been punched along the top and bottom edges using the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I attached the Old Olive piece over the Pacific Point card stock using dimensionals. I wrapped the whole piece with Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon and then attached the piece to scored and folded Basic Black card stock.
I created my flower using the smallest leaf on the Blossom Petals Builder punch. I punched 16 leaves from Real Red cardstock. Once punched I used my bone folder so that the leaves curled under a little. I punched a 1/2″ circle from Real Red card stock and attached 8 petals around the circle. I punched another 1/2″ circle from Real Red card stock and attached it over the top of the 8 petals lining it up with the previous Real Red 1/2″ circle and then attached another 8 petals so that they were in between the previous 8 petals. I punched another Real Red 1/2″ circle and added it over the top of the petals and again lining it up with the previous 1/2″ circle. Then I used my Paper Piercer and Mat Pack to make a hole in the centre and added a Vintage Brad. The flower was attached over the ribbon using a dimensional. I tied a bow and attached it to the card front using Mini Glue Dots.
I am rather pleased with how this card turned out. Lots of different colours and lots of texture.
