Easter Baskets
As you know cardmaking (and a little scrapbooking) is my passion – a passion which I am lucky enough to share with my eldest daughter Sarah who is also a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. She is a married to a wonderful guy Sean, is a working Midwife and mother to two girls (4 and 1) and a boy (nearly 3) . We hold all our workshops together and last night we prepared for our workshop today which is making a lovely little tote bag and 4 matching cards. We stayed up late chatting as usual and so this morning I am feeling a little worn out.
So today I am posting some little baskets which I made last week
for my five grandchildren for easter. I found the instructions for them when I was web surfing (I probably need to do less of this and more creating). Anyway I was on Alisa Tilsner’s website and saw a basket which she had made using instructions posted on the web by Monica Gale. The instructions are so easy to follow. I made mine using some of my retired designer paper. They do hold a 100g egg (or thereabouts) but my husband and I decided on these adorable easter bunnies. (We actually took a basket with us when we went shopping for the eggs and must have looked a little funny as we tried different types of eggs and bunnies to fit.)
Now as it happens the yahoo group I belong to (for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators) posts a Make it Monday and this week it was another little basket which is also fantastic for easter. It was posted by Mykeesha Byle and I am sure if you check out her fantastic site you will find the instructions.
I made these baskets using retired designer series paper (I am still waiting on new stock to arrive). My husband and I are going to visit his mother in Evans Head and my parents in Pottsville at the weekend and we are taking our two eldest grandchildren with us. So I made these little baskets for them to give to Nanny, Grandma and Grandfather.
Now just before I go I must make mention (which is overdue) of my youngest daughter Emma. She is married to another fantastic guy Jason and at the moment is a SAHM to a boy (nearly 2) and girl (5 months). Emma has helped me to set up this site and is always available for me to ask questions. I am not very computer savvy but she is fantastic and I can’t thank her enough.
Anyway I am off to make breakfast and do the chores before our lovely ladies arrive for our workshop this afternoon. Did I mention what a fantastic group of ladies our regulars are, we always have such fun and I am certainly lucky to spend time with such lovely people . I have the best job.
