Tri-Shutter Card

June 8, 2009

I followed a link in my Splitcoast Stampers newsletter to this tutorial and thought that I should give it a try but  I just couldn’t seem to finish it.  However, Leonie posted two tri-shutter cards on the Yahoo Demonstrator group to which I belong and I was inspired to have a go and complete the card.IMG_4854 edited compressed watermarked  I am not going to give you detailed instructions about how I made the card, it will be easier if you just follow the tutorial.

However, I did find that by drawing out a plan of the card on my grid paper and playing with the embellishments on that I could move them until I was completely happy with the layout.

I have used the Always designer series paper and the Always stampset to complete the card.  Cardstock colours are Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie and Regal Rose – colours which were taken from the designer paper.

What do you think?

A very gorgeous card Kris. I saw these from Leonie and have been wanting to make one of these myself. You’ve picked a great stamp set to work with and lovely colours. Great job and TFS.
