Something Old….

Something new.   This card uses two colours which will be retiring when the new catalogue comes out in September –  Pale Plum and Mellow Moss and a stamp set from the current Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue.  I made this card for  this week’s sketch challenge over at Just Add Ink.  I love this sketch because it gave me an opportunity to use my Big Shot and the Scallop Circle Bigz Die.

I started with Pale Plum card and stamped it with En Francais using Pale Plum ink and then sponged the edges with the same ink.  The next layer is Perfect Plum and this was also stamped with En Francais using Perfect Plum ink and the edges were also sponged using the same ink.  The next layer is a Pale Plum Scallop Circle – cut using the Big Shot and trimmed to fit the Perfect Plum square.  I cut a 4″ circle of Whisper White card using my Circle Scissors to layer on top.  I wrapped the Perfect Plum/Scallop Circle piece with a piece of 1.9cm wide Twill Tape which I had stamped with the “vine” image from Vintage Vogue using Mellow Moss ink.  I stamped the greeting from Sincere Salutations using Perfect Plum ink onto the Whisper White card.  I cut a sizzlet Little Leaves from Mellow Moss card using my Big Shot, and attached it to the Whisper White card.  Next I stamped the large flower from Vintage Vogue onto Whisper White card using Perfect Plum ink and cut it out.  The small flower from Vintage Vogue was stamped onto Whisper White card using Pale Plum ink and cut out.  I attached the two flowers together with a 5/16″ Whisper White Jumbo Brad and attached it to the card over the leaves using a dimensional.  I think it has turned out rather nicely.
