Sudsol Case

June 26, 2011

This week at Sudsol one of the challenges was to CASE (copy and share everything) from the Stampin’ Success magazine (a US publication for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators).  It inspired me to create the last card for my Christmas in July Stamp-A-Stack.

I used Very Vanilla card as my base and added a strip of Cherry Cobbler card which has one edge punched with the Scallop Edge Border and which I also ran through the Big Shot using my Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  I wrapped this with Old Olive 1/8″ Taffeta ribbon before attaching to the Very Vanilla card.   The image portion of my card is Very Vanilla with an Old Olive mat.   I created my Christmas Trees by folding half-circles of Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper.  I added tree trunks punched from Early Expresso card using the Word Window Punch.  I inked Merry from Occasional Greetings using my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker and stamped onto Very Vanilla card.  I used my Word Window Punch to punch out the greeting.  I attached this under the middle tree and over the third tree (dimensional under the right hand side of the word window).

This shows a close up of the folded Christmas Trees.  I love how cute these are.

If you would like to make this card then check out my Classes and Workshops page and reserve your place for my Christmas in July Stamp-A-Stack.  I’m holding this class twice, once on Friday morning and then again on Friday night.

Bye for now, Kris.

Love your trees. It’s hard to think of Christmas in July, but I guess it must be faced. Thanks for getting me started.
