Everything Eleanor Birthday

September 17, 2012

Last Friday my good friend Gwen celebrated her birthday.  She was visiting with me last Saturday while I held a garage sale and I was able to give her her card only one day late.

I loved this stamp set (Everything Eleanor) when I first saw it in the catalogue so it was a must for my first order (let me tell you I liked it so much I actually bought two sets!)

I stamped the swirly image onto Very Vanilla card using Always Artichoke ink.  I had to mask it a couple of times, to get the smaller swirls on the right side.  Next I embossed the stamped piece using the Square Lattic Embossing Folder.  I don’t know why but this one really works the best with inlaid embossing or stamped pieces.  The embossed card was attached to scored and folded Ridinghood Red card.  I stamped the large frame image onto Very Vanilla card using Crumb Cake ink and cut it out.  I attached it to the card front covering the ends of the swirls.  I stamped happy birthday wishes from the Petite Pairs stampset onto Very Vanilla card and punched it using the Large Oval Punch.  I attached it to an Always Artichoke Scallop Oval and then to the card front.  I stamped the flower onto scrap Very Vanilla card three times and cut it out, each layer a little smaller than the last.  The flowers are layered together using dimensionals and then attached to the card front.  Lastly I added small and medium Basic Pearls to the flower.  I didn’t get a photo but the inside has been stamped to match as well as the envelope.

I’d love to hear what you think of my first time using this set.

Bye for now, Kris.
