Birthday Blue

November 5, 2019

I found a card on Pinterest by Jo Hooper and knew it would be perfect for my Beachmere class.  I stamped the car from the Geared Up Garage stamp set randomly across Bermuda Bay card using Bermuda Bay ink.  I sponged the edges of the card using the same ink and attached it to scored and folded Bermuda Bay card.  I embossed Smoky Slate card using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, sponged the edges with Smoky Slate ink, attached it to another piece of Smoky Slate card before attaching it to the card front.  I stamped “happy birthday” from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set onto Whisper White card using Smoky Slate ink and cut it out using one of the circles from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I stamped the “smoke” image from the Geared up Garage stamp set several times below the greeting using Sahara Sand ink.  I attached the stamped circle to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the car image from the Geared Up Garage stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card and cut it out using the co-ordinating Garage Gears Die. The card is attached to the stamped circle over the “smoke” image.

To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the greeting from the Perennial Birthday stamp set onto Whisper White card using Smoky Slate ink.  I stamped the car image from the Geared Up Garage stamp set randomly onto Bermuda Bay card using Bermuda Bay ink.  I sponged the edges of the stamped card using Bermuda Bay ink and attached a narrow strip of Smoky Slate card behind one long edge.  The stamped panel is attached to the bottom of the stamped Whisper White card.

I can’t thank Jo enough for the inspiration to create this card, I love it.

Bye for now,

Kris
