Concertina Birthday

I have already shared a card with you that I made using this Inside Concertina Card here. The instructions I followed were purchased from Elizabeth Shannon a lovely UK Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I embossed Balmy Blue card using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder which is attached to scored and folded Night of Navy card. I attached a strip of Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper across the card front. I cut Night of Navy card using the “rope” die from the Smooth Sailing Dies and attached it across the Designer Series Paper. I cut Mossy Meadow card using the “seaweed” die from the Smooth Sailing Dies and attached it to the card front. I cut the label die from the Smooth Sailing Dies from Balmy Blue and Sahara Sand card and attached them to the card front. I stamped the bird image from the Sailing Home stamp set onto a small Whisper White tag which I have punched using the Scalloped Tag Topper and rounded the bottom corners using the Detailed Trio Punch. The tag has a piece of Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Bakers Twine tied through the top before attaching to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the lighthouse image from the Sailing Home stamp set onto scrap Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it using Balmy Blue, Light Mossy Meadow and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. The image is cut out using the co-ordinating Smooth Sailing Die and attached to the left hand side of the tag.
I stamped “happy birthday” onto Night of Navy card using Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it. The greeting is cut out using the label die from the Smooth Sailing Dies and attached to the tag. I stamped the anchor image from the Sailing Home stamp set onto Sahara Sand card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out using the co-ordinating Smooth Sailing Die. The anchor is attached to the tag over the bottom of the lighthouse. I also added one of the Sail Away Trinkets using a Mini Glue Dot.
I created the concertina for the inside of the card following Elizabeth’s instructions. I added a few panels of Sail Away Designer Series Paper before attaching the concertina to the inside of the card. I stamped the small sailing boat, anchor and compass images from the Sailing Home stamp set onto Whisper White card using Night of Navy ink. I cut out the images using one of the circles from the Layering Circles Dies. Each circle is attached to a Night of Navy scalloped circle cut using the same dies. Each image is attached to one of the concertina panels, making sure to stagger them evenly. The panel on the right is left blank to allow somewhere to write a message.
I know just the person to receive this card. He will love it just as much as me.
Bye for now,
Kris
