Lovely As A Tree

Has everyone had enough rain.  It has been raining lots where I live in Brisbane, however, we do not have any local flooding as they do in some areas of South East Queensland.  The only good thing is that you have an excuse to spend lots of time stamping.  Well that’s my excuse anyway, too wet to do anything else.  This is a card that I made yesterday for the Stamping 411 Challenge.

The sketch was easy to work with, nice clean lines and so I went for a very clean look.  I used Chocolate Chip card as my base card layered with a piece of Old Olive card.  The image is from Lovely As A Tree, stamped  in Chocolate Chip ink onto Very Vanilla card.  I layered it onto Chocolate Chip Card and added a Chocolate Chip photo corner (used my Photo Corner punch) and attached it to the Old Olive card.  I wrapped the bottom of the Old Olive Card with narrow Twill Ribbon.  The “for your”  is from the Occasional Greetings set stamped in Chocolate Chip and punched out with the Small Oval Punch, layered onto a piece of Old Olive punched out using with Large Oval Punch and finally a piece of Chocolate Chip punched out using the Scallop Oval Punch.  I attached this to the card using my Mini Glue dots.

I like the way it has turned out and as an added bonus it is a bit more “manly”.
