Christmas is Coming
My two granddaughters spent last Tuesday with me and helped me to make some mini milk cartons which I am going to use as decorations on the tree and also as a countdown to Christmas.

This is what we managed to achieve. I had already cut the milk cartons out using the Big Shot and the Mini Milk Carton Die. We used two combinations, Real Red/Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler/Old Olive.
The girls stamped them using the bauble and star from Christmas Classics. I sponged them and punched out the window using the 1 1/4″ circle. Then I assembled the boxes. I inked the holly stamp from Christmas Classics using my Real Red/Garden Green Stampin’ Write markers and also my Cherry Cobbler/Old Olive Stampin’ Write markers and cut them out. The girls attached the window sheet and then they cut the numbers using the Big Shot and the Timeless Type Junior Sizzlets. All I need now is some chocolate to go inside and then I am going to tie them with 1/8″ taffeta ribbon so that they can be hung on the tree. I only need another dozen or so to have enough.

Here is Elyssa hard at work. For a 2 1/2 year old she shows amazing talent. She is quite deliberate in her stamping, taking care not to stamp on top of the images and to go off the edges.

Here is Abigail hard at work. At almost six she is starting to show real artistic talent. She expressed the view the she liked the Real Red/ Garden Green combination much more than the Cherry Cobbler/Old Olive combination. Abigail has already expressed the desire to be a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator when she grows up just like her Mum and her Nan. God bless her, mmm… wonder when I can sign her up!
Well I’m off to get ready for a workshop tonight (hello Sharron & Lynda).
Bye for now, Kris.

Thanks for sharing this I had been looking for an advent type of calendar for my 3 granddaughters. I have already die cut the cartons and am looking forward to decorating them. Thanks again
